I am happy with my numbers. They continue to increase. I hope the same for all of you.
Hello, Kenna. I feel the exact same way that you do.
Like OldRoses, I’ve been busy writing new articles. I’ve also been doing SEO-related updates on an as-needed basis. It all helps in the end.
SEO-related updates? What source do you use?
Good SEO-related sites are SearchEngineWatch.com and SearchEngineJournal.com. By the way, SearchEngineWatch.com has an interesting article that you might want to read about Google’s upcoming May algorithm update. Just type “May google algorithm update” into your browser and the article should be at the top. There is also a thread about this upcoming May update somewhere on the forum.
In different stages, I revised the standard first paragraph that I have been using for each of my nostalgia/history articles that are on HobbyLark and Owlcation. Then, an editor found an APA-related mistake that I had made on all 60+ of my nostalgia articles. Well, I had to update all of them, one by one.
From previous experience, Google likes web pages that are “dynamic” as opposed to “static”—that is, web pages that have been updated in some way recently. I’ve seen web pages that have not been updated in five or more years, based on the date. No matter what the topic is, I just go elsewhere for what I am looking for, because those outdated pages are static and might not have the latest information.
Glad to have learned something from this discussion. I will do that as well.
I spent the winter writing lots of new articles and it's paying off. Even though CPM is lower than last year, traffic is up and so is my payout.
I received my payout today as well.
I haven't posted anything new in seven months and that was a rant about the loss of comments. It's currently on the HP niche site. I know HP and LetterPile don't draw earnings to speak of. That said, my articles that are on Delishably, DenGarden, PetHelpful, RemedyGrove, Spinditty, ToughNickel, and TurboFuture continue to earn for me. That's comforting. I work full-time so don't have much time to write, but what I've got out there is proving to be lucrative. I may only see a payout every two or three months, but at this point in my life, it's gravy on the taters!
DenGarden and Delishably bring me the most organic traffic. Organic traffic is what earns dollars over pennies.
Happy payout to all of us who got paid. Thank you. I have to write new articles again.
Thank you, Thelma. What are you going to write about?
You are welcome Kenna. As always travel places and recipes. Have a nice week.
Happy payout day
I’ve been updating my hubs lately, a few at a time but that hasn’t necessarily increased my views, However, my earnings are rising ever so slowly, so I can’t complain.
Kenna, I don’t know whether you know about this, but the Google “user experience” update has been postponed from May until “June to August.”
Kenna, another thread was started today on the Freeform Discussion forum about the upcoming Google update. You might be interested.
Interesting! I will check out the Freeform Discussion you mentioned later. Thank you for the heads up!

I am writing articles for this website since past 3 months. At present, I have 38 featured and published hubs. I have joined for Amazon and google Adsense program. Past two months I earned like very less amount, less than 1/2 dollar. If I continue writing and publishing at the rate of one article...

I'm amazed at the immense earnings on hubpages. if they can squeeze off a penny to give ya for page views. why in a few years you would have enough for a payout! ya'll know I'm kinda joking, but really?

Many people have asked how the new sites are performing so far. The latest Newsletter provides a general overview, but I'd also like to invite Hubbers who have had Hubs moved to discuss your experiences here. Overall, the change has been very positive, but there's also variation from author to...

New hubber here! (Well, sorta new. Started an account years ago and just checked back in.) Still trying to grasp the whole SEO thing and I'm wondering how long it takes to get a hub indexed and how to tell if you have been? Also, are articles on the niche sites more "findable" on google...
