    Hi Hubbers,

I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
Here is my article: Ice-creams : Health for Summers 2021

In addition to the other comments, you need to delete the year in the title. If it is anywhere else in the article, it should be deleted. They prefer content that will be applicable every year, not just one.

Hi, Anu. Ice cream could be a good topic for an article, especially as summer approaches, but I think you’ll need to do quite a lot of editing to get your article accepted.

There shouldn’t be a space before the colon in the title.

You need to go through the article carefully to correct the language errors. For example, ice cream and frozen yogurt are desserts, not deserts. They aren’t classified as a pastry, at least in North America. In addition, I don’t know what you mean by a “virus frozen yogurt.”

You have a photograph about chocolate peanut butter ice cream but don’t say anything about this version of the dessert.

The site where I suspect you found the information saying that Dole Whip contains no fat or sugar had a wink symbol after the statement. I think the writer was joking, at least with respect to the sugar content. You should do some research to find the actual amount of fat and sugar in the product. You call the product Dole Whip, which is correct, but the title of the capsule refers to Dole Dips.

Whenever you make a statement about health, you should give a reference. For example, you say that mint chocolate chip ice cream helps to eliminate gas and irritable bowel syndrome. You should support these claims with references.

The article is very short. You should aim to write at least 700 words.

As I mentioned before, it’s not a good idea to give a title for a photo capsule and then use the same title for the following text capsule. You should state the license of each photo to show that you’ve used it legally. The photo should have a suitable Creative Commons license or a public domain one.

    Good luck with the editing.

    Hi there,

In addition to what Linda (Alicia) said, you cannot take images from Google without checking the license. You could receive a demand for payment for unauthorised use.

It's 'Summer', not 'Summers'. And ice-cream is not a pastry.

Reading through the article, your writing is way below the standard required. This article will never be featured as it is.

My advice: go and improve your English smile

Edit: I just realised that you are the same person who published the Patent Ductus Arteriosus article (which still has a copyright marked image in it, by the way).

So how come your English is so different between the two articles?

    Hi Arshika,
Should your article not be Featured, you can boost its quality (and odds of being Featured) by:

Making sure that your title is short and descriptive
Presenting information that cannot be found elsewhere online
Presenting concrete facts, figures, and data
Providing a pleasant reading experience via attractive, easy-to-skip around formatting
Utilizing a wide variety of capsules
Making an effort to include many superb images
Editing your text (or having someone else edit it)
    Avoiding spammy elements
