I'm having one of those days where my mind can't concentrate.
I keep trying to read, or start writing, but it's not working.
    Maybe it's the rain.  Maybe it's Vax-a-Million.
Maybe I've just got too many thoughts inside the old noggin.
I'm gonna just take a break and try again after while.
    Happy Writing Everyone.

Brenda, Take some time to rest and recover. You don’t always have to be so busy, pushing yourself so hard. I hope you will feel better soon. Take good care of yourself. Hope you will feel better soon
      Blessings and Love

        Misbah
Thanks.  I feel fine. My thoughts just aren't there to be creative & my mind keeps wandering when I read.
Give me a bit & I'll be back to normal.

Sounds like you need a night on the town with some spicy company to get your mind back on track!

I do that too. I find doing something physical can help, even a short walk.

The weather is a bit nicer today.  Maybe I can get a walk in the park.

Haha, procrastination to a certain extent is a good thing. Your mind wandering is what helps trigger good ideas for the future.

I log in HubPages daily. But I don't write articls every day or every week.                                              That said, it gives me a break or two to do other things.                                              Give yourself a weeks' break. Visit the zoo in the morning hours, and let your mind go with the beast and call it a day in the even if that's pratical.                                       Likewise, visit the beach if you can swim. Do a back float and soak some sun while floating on! It's very relaxing.                                                                    "Boys and girls come out to play. The Moon doth shine as bright as day. Leave your supper and leave your sleep and come with your play fellow into the streets!"  Know it? Great, go for a picnic right in the woods. Or the side walk. Bill, our mail bag friend lately did one or two of these.                                                                Be free and return to life!

It's just now getting warm enough to get outside, the beaches are not open here yet.
After Memorial Day the end of this month.
I write other places and I have a few deadlines to meet, so until I clear my schedule I got to get these thoughts working.
      Thanks for all your suggestions.
      I will try.

Hi Brenda let me tell you a short story to cheer you up.

In 1881, famous inventor Nikola Tesla had fallen seriously ill on a trip to Budapest. There, a college friend, Anthony Szigeti, took him on walks to help him recover.
As they were watching the sunset on one of these walks, Tesla suddenly had an insight about rotating magnetic fields — which would, in turn, lead to the development of modern day’s alternating current electrical mechanism.

So my advice is to follow Tesla's idea and just go for a long walk enjoying nature. Who knows you might create your best ever poem in these walk ?

    Food for thought !!!

Being a writer is an adventure and has its neck pain. When it's a chore, I leave my computer, play with my pets, talk to my daughter, walk around the block, listen to a podcast or read a good book. Finding my way back to the computer is sometimes the toughest part of writing. Overcoming that barrier is rewarding!

      Kenna,
      Thank you so much!
It's nice to know I'm not the only one who has times like these.
I am trying, but I'm not quite there yet.
Finishing up what I actually have to get done & then maybe a walk will do me some good.

      Costant Juma,
      That sounds great!
But I can't.   I've got a few deadlines to meet other than Hubpages.
It's okay.  I'll take one eventually and it will be well worth it.

Brenda, don't destroy your health for ANY deadline, and don't set such again on writing.
