I was scrolling through the days articles and something became obvious to me. If HP removed the words; Trump, Biden and Blacks from being allowed subjects for a day, I wonder how many articles on other subjects would be listed and discussed for that day?
Sure, it is Monday, and we are all just getting into our weeks routines, but I do wonder what new subjects we would see??

I think it all depends on who you follow and what you read.  I just scrolled through my feed and there was not a single mention of Trump, Biden or Blacks.  Instead, I found articles by hubbers I follow and topics that interest me.

And, the topics you follow too. I, too, see no political or social issue articles on my feed.

OK Then! I guess it's me and mine! Regardless though, these articles are becoming tiresome, so I think I'll go back and work on my feed criterea???

I really don't actively follow such topics, but somehow they do slip into my feed over time. I guess, like the people who can't really write coherent text, if you open one of these out of curiosity, you get labeled in the system somehow???
I'll just have to work on fixing this on my own.
          Thanks All,

For someone with such strong opinions on sociopolitical matters, even just within the forums, I'm surprised you find seeing similar mindsets tiresome. Nonetheless, yes, it sounds like you should just eliminate the politics and social issues topic/subtopics from your feed.

Then again, perhaps you could use the feelings these tiresome articles arouse within you for some articles of your own? Never hurts to fire back on politics and social issues, especially when the topic could use a fresh perspective.

      Don:
I mainly follow people who write about history and science so I don't see too much in my feeds about political/racial topics.

All those that I followed that did write about politics and current events are no longer with HP for various reasons or rarely write here. So now, all that comes up in my feed are Topical Discussions, Poetry and Word Prompt challenges.

I guess I don't follow politics so not many of those appear on my feed. I don't think removing those words would make much difference.

Like most of the other commenters, I don't see lots of politics in my feed. You should reconsider the topics and people you follow if it riles you, Don. smile

Most of the discussion in the forum about politics is geared towards the covid19 pandemic.                                         So  Trump, or Biden name, or the Black just springs up, where necessary.                                          Today Monday, I receive a comment notification on an article by Mike Russn(peoplepower) on a political comedy/irony? he wrote about Trump not taking defeat as advice by his lawyer, Cohn.                                                     Why a blackman should open that can of worms now, nearly over a year mystefies me.                                                            So, because I follow Mike Russo and his angel appear to me again seems curious to some writers?
