You can only get paid via PayPal sad It's clearly stated in the FAQs. Always a good idea to research any platform before committing any time and effort.

This is a sorry situation. I would like other online pay  platforms to be include in the hubpages pay system so that, writers would make a choice. But this can hardly happen.                                    Wire and cheque payments are also possible. This can cost money on the part of writers to bear. But  Hubpages has stuck to Paypal.

      Hi Asim
I heard Paypal is coming soon in Pakistan, till then you can use the Paypal of any of your relative or friend living in the country where it works. I hope it will be helpful.

I think this is considered illegal and could get the friend or relative kicked off PayPal.

Its not like using their accounts personally, its like getting your payment in their account, and they can send you, your payment through some other bank acceptable in one's coutry.
I dont think that there is anything illegal in this.

Different countries have different legislations about this.

What you described is illegal in mine.

How it can be illegal to receive money from some relative of your's living in another country?

Well its totally legal here. We dont have Paypal in our country yet, so my payment is transferred to my sister's paypal account.

She lives in another country, so when my payment is received, she sends it to me. And its totally legal and fine.

You misread. I'm telling you it's illegal where I live. For good reasons.

It's illegal because there are numerous cases of such a channel being exploited by loansharks, scammers, terrorist organizations, etc. Most commonly, someone uses his/her Paypal account to receive loanshark interest payments, in the misguided belief it will avoid detection.

Laws in most countries also do not differentiate between whether the second party is your relative, or not. No means no.

Here's the thing too. You think it's fine. You believe it's legal. But is it truly the case for the person you're recommending it to?

Hope you give that a think.

Ok CYong, you are right, every country has its own rules and regulation, and obviously we are obliged to follow them :-) Blessings

Paypal, is not a banking syetem, nor do it operate like a bank. And of course any suspious moves within an account render such closed.

    Hi Amara ,

If paypal starts service in Pakistan, this will be good news for us. otherwise using someone's account is good advice but not a permanent solution.

Hubpages should include other modes of payment in their system.

Ofcourse its not a very good solution, but its the only way to earn here. Only Paypal is acceptable.

I doubt Paypal is immanent in Pakistan as it was withdrawn from there for a reason, not just something they haven't gotten around to.

As for having someone else accept your payment, the problem is more with whether the payment has to go to the named person directly (by Hubpages rules) and if not, whether that person would have to declare it is income (by their national rules).

Receiving money for someone isn't criminally illegal, as far as I know, anywhere.  But it may be civilly illegal based on banking and tax regulations and organizations terms of service.  And that would take a lot of research and bother that may not be worth it.
