         Thank you for your comment, Chitrangada. There are a big range of castles in the UK. Some are little more than ruins and it takes a lit of imagination to picture them as they used to be. Leeds Castle is one of the better preserved and adapted ones. It is a great day out.

   I may never visit Leeds Castle in person, but when reading about Liz's travel adventures, it is the next best thing.   Thanks Ann for showcasing her excellent work.  It would be fun to stay in one of those cottages for a few days to really enjoy all aspects of this castle and magnificent grounds.

      Thank you for your comment, Peggy. That would be quite an experience, but I fear that it might come with quite a hefty price tag. It puts me in mind of a visit to Hever Castle in the same area. My brother was so impressed that he wanted to buy it. Until my uncle pointed out that his pocket money would not stretch that far.

      Your comment encourages me to revisit Kent, Ann. The garden of England is a lovely county. It deserves more than a fleeting glance as we drive to the channel tunnel. I just wish we had more time to explore.
