      I loved reading about Leeds Castle. I certainly believe it is one of the loveliest castles in the world. Knowing about its history and your own experiences as a child and also as an adult are simply awesome. The accompanying photos are interesting too.    Thank you for your comments, Rosina. When I looked into it, there were many castles that came ahead of Leeds Castle in the top lists. But, as one of the earlier castles that I visited, Leeds Castle has good memories for me.

   Liz has created an excellent article, as always. The photos and the descriptions are very interesting. I use to live in the city of Leeds when I was a young child. As I opened the article and saw the first photo, I wished that my family had taken me to see the castle. Liz soon explained why they never did! Thank you for sharing the article, Chitrangada.

      Thank you for your comment, Linda. We have family living near Leeds. It is a thriving city and has a lot to commend it. Although having been born on the other side of the Pennines, in Lancashire, I hesitate to write that.
      There are longstanding family connections with Yorkshire and Kent too.
