    Dear Authors,

We have exciting news: Thanks to the incredible reader reaction and engagement we've seen in response to Soapboxie's "True Crime" subcategory, we're launching a brand new network site…

Welcome to The Crime Wire: A crime-writing community for digital sleuths, armchair detectives, and future mindhunters.

We invite you to explore all the categories on this new site and see what inspires you (though it may take a day or two for them to fully populate as articles move from Soapboxie). Is there a crime, scandal, cold case, transgression, or other malicious secret that readers need to know about?

In addition to the current topics on The Crime Wire, we're looking to populate new categories as well—and we’d love your help!

    INSTITUTIONAL CRIME
    • Education
    • Government/politics
    • Military/war
    • Religion/cults

    MONEY CRIME
    • Wall Street
    • Rich people
    • Real estate
    • Corporate

    BINGE IT!
    • Podcasts
    • Documentaries
    • TV series
    • Movies
    • Blogs, websites, channels, online communities

The Crime Wire will function like any of our other network sites when it comes to article submissions. Please see our editorial policy and other writing tips to learn about our best practices, and then go ahead and get started! We're looking forward to seeing your articles and working with you.

P.S. For those writers who already have true crime content on Soapboxie, you may have noticed your articles getting fresh updates in recent weeks as we prepared to move your content to The Crime Wire. Thank you for your patience and cooperation. We hope you're as excited about the new site as we are!

Good luck. Hubpages is an absolute joke anymore. Based on this post, it's clear that hubpages is clueless to the concerns of the writers. Earnings? Be honest....what is the percentage we are getting now? Hubpages is a sinking ship. Why do you think there's been so much discussion about writers switching to medium? I care nothing about my articles anymore, do what you want. Do your horrible editing, butcher my articles (which you've been doing for years), I just simply don't care about this site anymore. Good luck to all of you who decide to ride the rails of this total train wreck. Not even sure who owns the site anymore.. (maven? Arena?) who knows. All I know is when I look at the forums, not many writers are very happy with being left in the dark. Your stupid "crime wire" link isn't going to help much until you fix many of the underlying problems that are consistently ignored

"Earnings? Be honest....what is the percentage we are getting now?"
That's a secret. One thing is clear: It's no longer the 60% we signed up for. Hence the huge decline in earnings.

Huge decline in earnings and now pageviews on Pethelpful.  It is outrageous that we cannot know what our percentage is, suggesting that it is a fluid percentage, depending  on when TAG feels it needs to dip into our share, to support other arenas within their group.

Are we only getting an average of 34% of earnings?

I'd like to know who on the HubPages staff would be okay with not knowing what their employment agreement is. That they would be okay with variable  rates of pay under a secret agreement whose parameters seems suspect.

Why are impressions half of pageviews, when there are 13 ads in one article.  Is it because it is the same ad shown 13 times in a row? Is it because it takes ads 2-3 full minutes to load

Or, do we only get income from one ad, and the income from the videos and sponsored content as well as the other 12 ads belong to HP?

This is good to see. Hopefully, there are plans in the works for breaking out other topics and giving them their own sites.

Crime-themed media is very trendy nowadays, so it seems like a great idea for a brand new niche!

I do hope that the existing niches won't be neglected, though.

Great Idea, especially regarding Wall Street and Corporate Crime.

If you could add another category:

I could write many stories about "Legal Bank Crime". Or would that fall under Corporate Crime?

Before you do anything "new" why not concentrate on what you messed up!!!

    Three years without usable comments.

Making people sign in and get a code is NOT comments.

Failing to give authors a notification that they have received a comment is NOT having comments. (I have over 600 featured articles. I can't check every one of them).

Oddly, if one reads the help for new authors, you will see that we are encouraged to communicate with other authors for help and to encourage and support.

    How????
