So basically that means chatgpt cannot use chatgpt?

Another irony that occurred to me is that we'll have to use AI to detect AI. Eventually, the robots will be fighting each other.

I'm finding lots of uses for ChatGPT. It is actually a great resource. The problems will come when it can produce writing that's better than human. Then we'll be screwed.

I mean, it can already produce work that's faultless in terms of spelling and grammar, it just struggles to be engaging in an emotional or social way.

It will probably never be able to understand the meanings behind the words, though, as a human can. I used to think that scientists would eventually be able to produce conscious machines, but I've changed my mind on that.

Me too. I get it to produce really in-depth outlines, although I never use all of it. It provides a brilliant framework to begin writing. I then ask it to expand certain points and I completely write them from my own experience and perspective, thus losing the automated voice.

So the structure is AI yet the writing is human-created.

It cuts down the time enormously although it still took three hours to write the article today. Oh and I also asked it to come up with the key phrase for the title.

          It's witchcraft, I tell you big_smile

I'm wondering what the Google and Bing versions of AI search will be like. I'm guessing they will be similar to ChatGPT but slicker. I guess we'll find out in due course.

It seems ChatGPT consider or equate it as a human being? Just wondering?

I had an interesting interaction with ChatGPT yesterday. I was pondering an SEO issue and ready to do some research as per usual, but then I thought, I'll ask ChatGPT.

There were three paths I was considering. ChatGPT convincingly told me which one was best. I asked if it was sure. Oh yes, quite sure. I asked how it came to this conclusion. It cited SEO best practices including Google itself.

    I was pretty impressed.

Then I copied and pasted my question into a new chat. This time it gave me a completely different answer. In fact, each time I asked (pasting the question in so it was the same each time) it had different advice for me. Each time, it seemed quite sure of itself.

To be fair, there is an argument to be made for all three paths I was considering, which is why I was befuddled to begin with. It's not like I asked it the molecular weight of plutonium and it told me something different each time.

And maybe I could have asked the question better or given more info, who knows?

When I pressed it on the best way to use it for research and writing, it gave me some good advice, such as verifying information and don't just use it as a source.

In the end, good old research found me the answers I needed, frankly faster than my round and round with an AI entity did.

That's true for now, but it probably won't be for long.

It essentially relies on predictive text and just copies material, so I would be wary of using it for anything that involves genuine "thinking" myself.

It's good for things like writing generic articles, generating lists, and writing simple computer programs.

It's also good at guessing what sort of answer the questioner is after.

I was quite blown away by ChatGPT and the related tools, and I am not sure how it will change my life down the way. To supplement my income, I often look for and pick up some gig writing jobs. The pay was average/low rate; however, I just need to write average quality articles to pass the thresholds. The supplemented income has become increasingly more important for me as I get better at the job, more in terms of producing higher volume in a quicker time than in terms of higher-quality. Honestly, I find it challenging to increase my worth as a writer. I used ChatGPT for one of the writing assignments recently. Based on the tool's suggestions, I just need to do some quick alterations and alignment to make the article more cohesive and better address the brief. Now I can totally imagine how the tool can really replace my role at some points, and it is a scary realization!

Only an experienced non-fiction writer can thresh out a decent article from AI. It's still a craft while AI evolves. It does cut down my writing time, which makes me happy.

Geting to chatgpt.com  site to register is an issue to me.                                  Why is it checking my browser for hours without results?

I've had issues too. It worked in Chrome for a time with me, then I had similar problems to you.

I ended up just switching to Microsoft Edge browser where I've not had any problems so far.

The other option is to try something different, like say perplexity.ai which uses ai but also traditional search.
