How are you getting inspiration for your Hibs? Are you sticking to a particular niche? Or writing a little more at random?
When I was actively writing here, my articles covered a variety of topics and genres. I don't stick to one niche. In fact, I posted an article about that a while back.
Niche, all the way. My random articles have not really gone anywhere, while my niche articles have accumulated to provide steady earnings.
I think I have articles on every niche except TatRing and PetHelpful. I write about what interests me on the grounds that the topic might interest others. That's the beauty of HubPages, the freedom to write about anything.
I can't see that skipping around among niches has any effect on views or earnings. It's all about writing interesting and informative articles no matter what the genre.
For me, the subject choice on a particular day is determined by what I like to write about on that day. I don't focus much on any niche, although I admit I am partial to travel and historical articles.
I mostly write articles on Dengarden, Owlcation and Turbofuture. On the latter two sites, I write about things that I think people find useful and apply to lots of people. For instance some of my high traffic articles were about troubleshooting garden equipment. Another one was about getting quartz clocks back working again. So if you primarily want traffic and earnings, I find it's better to write for the market, rather than about things that may interest you. Writing I guess is therapy too, so some people just like to get stuff off their chest and write about random thoughts that come into their head, even though few people may read it.
I'd like some help with passing the Quality Assessment Process. Will you please give feedback on my article? What can I do to improve? Thanks!
First, you've hijacked someone else's thread. To get help with an article you should start a new thread and use the link HubPages sent you.
That said, there are a couple of issues.
Your iPhone piece reads like like a glowing infomercial for the product. Some balance is needed.
Also, your images are watermarked, meaning they are protected by copyright and you can't use them without permission and, probably, payment of a fee.

Hi folks. In answer to this question I write mostly about subjects and things that interest me, which I know are also of interest to a lot of other people.
I only have a few articles which range from music and movie reviews to travel and camping. I also write articles of interest to Gay or GLBT subjects. Like gay themed movies and Gay Camping and campgrounds. With more coming on those subjects, like a coming review of the Bros Movie, and my top 5 favorite GLBT campgrounds.
I also love amusement parks and roller coasters. I also belong to a lot of facebook groups on various subjects where I can draw traffic to my articles by posting them to those groups one of which has over 200,000 members.
I think I might do well in the GLBT groups and hubs for roller coaster fans. Going to be busy writing hubs over the winter. And, likely making videos for my youtube channel.
Thanks for the question.

Assuming you care to be visible to big G.1. Start with a niche topic that can get a lot of search results. Use the adword keyword tool to find it. If you don't know what that is google "adword keyword tool". 2. Make a hub based on that topic that is somewhat broad concerning that...

What is more fun? Writing dozens of articles for a niche or writing all sorts of articles from holidays to teeth whitening? And leave aside the fun, what about the money - which has more potential? What would you rather do as a writer on HP - niche writing or free lancing?

I'm speaking mainly on your HubPages account, but also any side (or main) blogs. Do you think it hurts or helps your Hubs to have a diverse group of articles or is it better if it's all about one thing?

Writing has always been my way of talking when no-one is listening so finding HubPages is as good as picking up the phone and knowing there is someone on the other end of the line.My problem is that I have so much to write about I don't know what my niche is or if I even want one. What do you think...
