Just submitted a DMCA (first one I've done in ages) to Weebly. The content was removed within five minutes. Astounding.

I gave up filing DMCAs largely because I failed to come to grips with the process. I tried. Believe me I tried. But, I'm hopeless at navigating things digital.

I had one toad, a British army officer no less, who fought and fought to deny he'd stolen one of my articles, which he had. It took months, but I prevailed and concluded it wasn't worth the effort.

    Anyway, good for you.

Mostly I just copy the HubPages text, insert my details, and email it to the Web host.

Ah, but it's discovering the web host that's the problem. I go to Who Is and get three screens full of gibberish from which I cannot identify the host.

Maybe, I should try again. I've just found one of my stolen articles on Weebly.

I can empathise with that. I used Whois, made little sense of it really, and when I did track down the web host as being Go Daddy they claimed it had nothing to do with them as they only sell the web space, or something like that.

Woohoo Bev. From Weebly "Thank you for making us aware of this issue. I’ve taken the site down and deactivated the responsible account." Another scumbag bites the dust.
