International Boycott?

I stay away from politics on this site, but I think that the current administration is affecting our traffic.  Normally, my traffic would be steadily increasing this time of year as people start planning their gardens.  But suddenly I noticed that my traffic was DECREASING.  That shouldn't be happening.  I always check my traffic sources and I've noticed that all of the international google sources (.ca, .co.uk, .au, .co.nz, etc) have big fat zeroes ever since the debacle on Friday.  Are other countries boycotting American websites along with American products and American tourist destinations?

Karen, I mostly get traffic from google.com, so I haven't noticed a change.

Most I can find is an early 2024 executive order issued by Biden to throttle access from, "countries of concern."

China (Hong Kong and Macau), Cuba, Iran, North Korea, Russia, and Venezuela.

My views and impressions are steadily rising, and the majority are not region-specific. However, I am seeing an increase across the board in foreign impressions.

Thanks everyone for your replies.  I appreciate getting to see the larger picture.  Now I just have to figure out why my traffic is falling while traffic overall is rising.

Why do you believe that overall traffic is rising?

All the graphs I see on SEMRush etc. suggest that traffic is essentially stagnant.

Paul, I agree with you about the "stagnant" traffic. I check HobbyLark almost everyday, and every graph that I reference (one month, six months, etc.) shows a steady decline in traffic for the period.

When I checked for HobbyLark's all-time organic traffic, I see that the site reached a peak in 2019, which is a long time ago in Internet years. Comparing the massive decrease in traffic from then to now is quite depressing.

Edit: I've been saying for several years now that Google probably has a difficult time figuring out what HobbyLark is really about, since there are over 30 different categories of articles on the site. My American nostalgia articles fall under two separate categories there, party games and trivia.

Karen, you're welcome. Good luck with your discovery—I'm sure it won't be easy.
