As there has been no explanation regarding the slowness of the site, are we to understand that HubPages is now finished?

It took well over three minutes for this page to load. Now I'm getting an AI icon with a message, should I choose to click it, to help me write this message. WTF? Apparently, HP is now being run by bots. No humans to be found other than us diehards (fools) who keep trying to keep the site afloat. mad

For years, the problem has been that HP has not communicated with us, so we don't know what is happening, but we can only guess. That doesn't help in the long run.

The slow-load issue seems to have been resolved.

Hubpages content articles access for readers/viewers has not slowed at all.  It’s the member login plus threads acccess, etc., that has slowed to a snail’s pace.

I only read articles if I receive notification in my inbox that someone I follow has posted. Same with forums now. I'm tired of staring at a black page before the page loads or getting a Timed Out message once the black disappears. HP isn't worth the effort anymore.

Well, if that is the case, Genna. It appears that they are now trying to discourage us from discussing things in the forums.

When I key in "Gregory devictor hubpages" everything, including all the articles, loads at lightening speed. Maybe HP wants to get rid of the forums but retain the articles for now. It's as confusing as TSA.

That is the same impression John and I also shared, Gregory, due to the quick access to all Hub content via Google, etc.  However, as I noted below, I can now log on very quickly.

Well, the problem seems to have just disappeared.  I can now log on at lightening speed.

    Hi all,
I just logged in via saved favorites and via search with no problem. Pages are loading super-fast. Must be hiccups, grasping for breaths.

I think they fixed the issues, but not completely. Even now, the browser keeps circling for a minute or two.

Maybe they'll fix the frozen stats next. Mine haven't moved for several weeks.
