Why not a capsule to add a HTML content at hubpages?

   If one is left behind in technoogical race, he is always at a loss. It always hurts me that there is no provision for pasting a HTML code at hubpages. There may be a policy of HP for not including  this element.  All the hubbers loose greatly on this account. Although I am sure some of the hubbers will oppose if you suggest something new but this aspect really need attention. If you are an affiliate of Amazon, with few exception most of the hubbers are unable to earn from Amazon products because of lack of this provision. Amazon offers heavy discounts in form of deals but hubbers are unable to be a part of deals due to lack of  HTML capsule. Other sites have provision for addition of HTML content and most of the clients prefer to avail discounts on deals so affiliates earn money on these deals. I think HP can better clarify this point.

      For HubPages Inc to allow scripts and widgets like that to be embedded it would be depriving itself of income.

   Yea. I've been wondering about this too. I have come across some HTML stuff that I have wanted to add to my page/hubs.
   
   Most recently I wanted to add an HTML that would allow me to track my ranking on Google. But that is impossible due to the hubpages format.

   I think the Amazon capsule is enough. If we could add widgets some hubs would be filled with them and would be hard to read.

   The capsules should be sufficient in order to supply your readers with products that are relevant to your hub. It's also a way to make money, like you mentioned. There's really no need for HTML.

   HTML Capsules will Make Hubpages a GARBAGE. People at Hubpages are Smart enough and they have included only the Tools and Resources that Target Good Traffic. RSS. Yahoo News (Yahoo News is also a kind of RSS Feed), Pictures, Video, Text Capsules (Each New Text Capsule is a New Post for Search Engines), Comments - These are all SEO Tools.
   
   HTML Capsule will give people too much Freedom.

      Though the HTML I'd like to be able to use is pretty much what's available already, just that I can copy and paste the HTML in from my text documents so all my stuff is right to publish. I can create hyperlinks in Notepad in the content rather than having to use the formatting tools.

         Not only that, but allowing custom HTML it can make Hubpages unsafe from direct download viruses etc from ads. I got 2 people, you click the link to the site from Google and it auto-downloads, you click nothing else..Sigh. It took about 2 days each to get rid of them, the 1st one i even had to set my computer back to factory settings to erase it all (and everything else). The 2nd one wasn't as bad, with the use of a specialized program, windows programmer remover, AVG anti-virus, and McAFee home security system I got rid of all traces of it.  Now that this happened twice I decided to go safer, I now use a SiteAdvisor, that scans the links and downloads for you. Literally millions of sites have been checked, and any unchecked sites you can submit to be scanned.

            Having these tags allowed:

            <ul>
            <ol>
            <li>
            
            ...would allow the tech savvy to do bold, italics, hyperlinks and bullet points in their text draft so they don't have to worry about going through and using the formatting tools.

   There have been a couple times I wanted to use some HTML for a hub that was relevant to what I was writing about. Having an HTML capsule could get abused, but it could also be a good thing for certain things. I'm on the fence with this one. It would be good if used with moderation- but there is no guarantee that would happen- anf then yes I think HubPages would start looking like garbage. Right now there is a consistent look, and that's a good thing. We don't want it to start looking like one huge advertisement for everything under the sun.

    The whole point of HubPages is (like it says on the front page) to allow people to create a website without techie tools.  I've had friends who find even the current setup "too technical"! 
    
    There are plenty of other places where people who have the technical expertise can design their site any way they like.  Let's keep HubPages simple, please!

    I would rather have a few options to vary the way that the Amazon modules are formatted.  While HTML is good for a lot of things, you can already put your own affiliate links in if you want, but candidly that's not why I'm here.  I'd rather have a little more flexibility in how the affiliate modules are formatted, with things like best sellers for product categories and horizontal orientation, and their enhanced product preview capability where the product rating and the price of new and used products pops up on mousing over the link.  In my experience that really helps click throughs and sales.
    
    The key to good Amazon sales is to write about stuff that might find a reader in a buying mood, like product reviews or how to hubs that recommend solutions.
    
    Writing about your life experiences or posting celebrity pictures may be fun, I'm not against it, but don't expect it to generate a lot of affiliate sales, HTML or not.

    Yes we need more and more option so that we can earn maximum revenue. HP should tie-up Kontera content Link and Widbucks Adsense Program to more ad revenue for Hubbers Hubbers whoees account are not approved by Googel are not earning anything from Hubs. HP need to do something for those poor hubbers.
