Listed with Google in less than an hour?

   I just did a Hub and looked and it was listed in Google within minutes of being published!
   I know this happens, but I have seen Hubs take hours, weeks and days to get listed.
   I did something different, and I will try to duplicate it.
   IF it works, I'll let everyone know the technique I used.
   I know it may have just been a fluke, or maybe those sacrifices to Google that I have been doing in the backyard finally paid off!
   That's why I am gonna do this a few times before posting it so I know if this actually worked or it was just one of those things.
   
   I really didn't mean for this to be an experiment, maybe I'm channeling Sheldon Cooper!

   I noticed a published hub was indexed in under 2 hours yesterday..I didnt check any earlier but it seems as if google is giving hubs some love lately

   I recently did some editing to some of my hubs, so as to gain more clicks and so far the results I've received have been extremely positive.
   
   I'm waiting for my "revision" cycle to finish. If you're curious, I make revisions to my hubs, every month and I let them cycle(get indexed and perform) to see how the revisions are working.
   
   Congratulations on getting listed so quickly and I hope you can repeat the process and share it with everyone else.
   
   You're an inspiration to everything HubPages is about.

   Its really amazing, although I haven't yet tried or looked at Google results after publishing a hub but I know it takes days or weeks even for a good hub.

   amazing, I wrote an article the other day about a singing sensation Jovit Baldivino and it is on first page yesterday in google search, now it is on second page, amazing.. another writer DOHN told me about it, I dont usually check on google but I was excited this time

   sorry sabre, I stole this thread, my hub about naturopathy is on the first page of google, I only made that hub yesterday, I type about naturopathy and it is in the first page entry, wow, the HUBMONTH rocks!!

   Okay...I did it again today and timed it.
   The Hub was listed in the Google search results in 18 minutes!
   Now that's just twice so we STILL may be looking at a fluke.
   I'm keeping careful notes of what I am doing, and after a sufficient number of tries, if everything keeps up, I'll let you know what I did.
   I'd hate to post this and no one be able to duplicate the results.

      I created a new hub last night. Then I used those links that come up with a new hub to tweet it and post it to Facebook. Literally 20 minutes later it was #2 on Google. I took a screenshot of this as I think I can possibly use this picture in a hub I may write.
      
      HP has great authority on Google. I believe one of the bots Google uses to index web pages and hubs, it's called appropriately enough "GoogleBot", must constantly live on HubPages.com due to the size of this site and how often we publish new content. It is well known that the bigger and more important a web site is the more often GoogleBot  comes for a friendly little visit.
      
      While Google probably often does almost instantly index our content this doesn't mean your going to always see your hub come up on page one without further SEO work.
      
      20 minutes or so is no fluke in my opinion. It just shows GoogleBot is hard at work on HubPages.com trying to keep up with all of us.
      
      We should all leave out cookies on our hubs for the friendly GoogleBot to encourage him to rank us well Or you can send cookies to me and I'll pass them on to him as he is an old friend. I, Umm I mean he, prefers chocolate chip cookies

   Yes...I am noticing that using the same technique, my Blogs are not getting listed as fast.
   It seems to be unique to HP.

      If your blog had as much authority and changed as often via new high quality content as HubPages.com then you would see the same thing on your blog as you do here. But your blog probably doesn't begin to compare to HP...
      
      One web page of mine used to get indexed once every 2 weeks. As it got listed higher and higher on Google this became weekly, then ever few days and now daily or so.
      
      To have GoogleBot taking up a permanent residence on HP should show everyone how lucky we are to have such a great place to publish our content!

    Third day of trying this and my Hub was indexed in 12 minutes.
    Now...that may be happening to all Hubs and not have anything to do with what I am doing.
    But I'm gonna give it some time before I say one way or the other.

       I have been seeing very fast indexing with zero promotion, i have some minor stuff that is automated via my hub rss' that happens everytime i hit publish, but with really no action on my part google has been indexing within hours for the last week.
       
       I noticed one hub had google listed as a referrer within the first 30 minutes...so not only indexed but receiving traffic!

    When you're checking your site on Google, do you just do a google search on your title or a general search of the subject?

       in my case, as i kind of inferred..i just noticed the speedy index when i received search traffic so quickly.
       
       Normally, I wouldnt check to see if something was indexed unless it failed to perform as i expected..and I would check via my targetted keywords using a cookie free search solution
       
       but anyone who uses analytics wouldnt have any reason to peform a search just to see if they were indexed..they would be checking to see what there placement was..and their is no point in that within the first month

    My latest hubpage about Scripting a comic book was listed within 30 minutes on Google yesterday I observed, on the first page for now, haven't checked to see if it's slipped yet!

    Wow! I have to agree with this. I just published a hub less than 24 hours ago and I now see it fourth in the first page of Google .

    My conclusion is that it's Hub Pages not me...LOL
    So I'm safe from having to post a technique that might or might not work for anyone else.

       And i have been waiting patiently to learn from your techniques. My blogs get listed in (1-6 position) less than two hours. I sometimes get traffic from google in a matter of minutes.
       I think is a matter of fluke on my side as i do no SEO
