How about contest for best forums posted. There are some really good ones out there that survive along time. I don't know what the qualifications can be, but it could make make for some excitement and better interaction on the forums. I personally like the fun or more sincere ones.

It's not my place to "hope" what I wish would happen is anything anyone pays attention to; but every once in awhile there will be some really, really, ugly thread that it's posted by some nut-case or else posted to stir things up.I'm not talking about some of the silliness and wackiness...

There are a lot of us who haven't been feeling safe on the forums. They've felt stalked, harassed and browbeaten.Sadly, some folks go with the letter of the law, but not the spirit of it in their posts.For an excellent post on why we need Forum Moderators, check out what Makingamark says here...

Since there's a place for suggestions...What about an option for starting a thread and inviting specific people to it? Public and Private threads, in other words. That way people could debate a topic without interference, work on a hub project together...other things I probably haven't thought of...
