Thank you.

I think if everyone starts going to your link, your score will rise.
Ah ha!!
Gosh Donna you have no need to be afraid. I read your hub and its well constructed with good graphics and videos.
I enjoyed your writing style and the hub reads (and flows) very well with good information. Further, you have used good tags and links to your other hubs.
I think that your hub score will rise and rise soon.
I don't know why some begin with a really low score. I wrote one on Hanoi the other week and it had an incredibly low score when I published it but within 2 days it had risen a lot. We sometimes place too much emphasis on the hub scores.
Just keep doing what you are doing!
you don't mention when it was first published. if recently, sometimes it takes a week or so to get noticed. it looks like a well-written article. maybe not a lot of searches for contractors in this present economy? it is an evergreen topic, so I wouldn't be too bothered by it. your hubber score says you're doing fine.
edit: I went back and read it. It's really an excellent article.
I'm going to bookmark it! great work.
sometimes it helps to add the News capsule, as it can help search engines find the article. even if there is no current news, you can still have it ready for recent news articles to be included.
The hub looks good to me. Some possible improvements could be adding a link module under the heading "finding a contractor online," with a few contractor directories. You might want to add a recap at the bottom of the hub of the questions that you need to ask a potential contractor. Other than that, good job.
You guys are so kind. I was afraid to read the comments, as I was preparing myself for the worst--LOL.
I'm going to go ahead and follow all your advice. Of course, I guess the biggest thing is patience. Travelespresso, you are absolutely right, I do put too much emphasis on hub scores. I'm glad your article perked up quickly.
I'll be adding the news feed and the directory of contractors and the recap(what great ideas!).
Thank you!
If you stress about Hubscores, write your Hub then let it sit unpublished for a few days. It will find its level quicker. Otherwise, just accept that all Hubs are automatically given a starting score in the 40s or 50s, and it takes a little while for the system to work out where they should sit.
Be careful where you place the directory of contractors. If you place it too early in the Hub, people may click on it before they click on your ads, so it will just lose you income.
The hub is great, has been well written, and the score is not low. Your author score is not low. You might just be a worry wart.
Give it time, with views and activity, it will rise even higher. I would be happy if all my hubs were this nice.
It looks like an excellent hub. Very detailed, great graphics and video, as well as Amazon ads. You pretty much covered all your bases. How long ago did you publish this? Because it take time for scores to rise.
Seventy three is good if you just published it. Be patient it is sure to rise in time. I personally think you did an outstanding job.

Dear Friends ~ I am always going on the roller coaster ride with Hubpages. Daily, my profile rating swings up and down, and my mood along with it. My husband went to check out my latest hub on the economy. The moment he hit the VOTE button my profile score went down.My question relates to whether...

I am presently putting together an article that is not published, obviously. But, I already have a Hub Score showing for it. Any ideas how this can be? Doesn't seem fair does it?I mean how can you score an incomplete article that has not been published yet and a low score to boot? Lower than any...

Is there a benefit to waiting to publish your hub?Is there a benefit for waiting for your hub score to become higher before hitting the publish button? I noticed if it takes awhile to get everything arranged that sometimes the hub score starts to climb. Is there any benefits until waiting until it...

I've heard to disregard that but I'm still a little curious. Honestly I don't know how the score is even decided but those of you that have a lot of followers or have been able to make money, what is your average score per article?Thank you!
