No. Beer needs crisps, pretzels, pizza or crab legs smile Or good strong cheese and bread if we are talking about real beer - as opposed to that stuff they sell in the US. Otherwise known as cat pee big_smile

I agree! Although some American beers are closer to dog pee. By the way, I still win!

Robie! you weighed in while I was still typing! Do you prefer yours in a mug, or on a platter? I'm a mug person, myself.

Ah, the official draught of American college students! You apparently know much about American animal urine-based beer! Interesting how many turns this thread has taken. Wonder what is next.

I pray for this every night but $5.05 in adsense this past month means...NOPE!  Not all the beer and coffee and Tofu dogs in the world can change it.

Stacie I must say...I REALLY DO miss your coffee cup.  It had a certain homey element that took right back to the Seattle Coffee-houses.    Lucky!

We were OK here but had a couple of tornadoes that hit nearby towns.  They mostly did the "hop-skip and a jump" thing which almost scares me worse than just being on the ground for a couple of minutes.  Never actually been in one but watched a HUGE one form and pass over when I was a teen and was just about 5 minutes ahead of the big one that hit Andover, KS a few years back.  They are scary and do sound like a freight train!

    1. robie2 profile image76
robie2posted 17 years agoin reply to this

yup--I am always amazed at how precise the devistation is.  When a tornado goes through, one side of the street can be fine and the other totally destroyed.....the random path is the scariest thing I think.

  48. profile image0
    RUTHIE17posted 17 years ago

I think I'd rather deal with the tornadoes here than an earthquake though.  Was in Vegas 10 years (?) ago when that big one hit California.  Bed shook, glass rattled and we watched the buildings sway around us.  That's close enough for me!  smile

  49. stephhicks68 profile image89
    stephhicks68posted 17 years ago

We don't get tornados or major earthquakes in Central Oregon.  Just gotta watch out for the forest fires.  Yikes.
