I have past my payout and already received the money too. However, I would like to clear up your statement.
HubPages isn't paying out. The revenue comes from Adsense or Amazon. Technically, you earn nothing from HubPages, because HubPages never actually pays you.
Just like you never pay HubPages either.
Just a thought.
I see.. I never understood how the system works at Hubs at all just right now.. I've been trying to increase my hub topics in the past few months now.
You need to sign up for affiliate accounts, adsense and amazon are good ones to start with.
Sign up via your your account> affiliate settings.
You do recall it was explained to you 8 months ago how HubPages works?
It becomes more clearer to me, Thanks WryLit! I already did sign up for affiliate accounts that HubPages is asking.. I guess, all I have to do is to write more topics to increase page views and sales on amazon and on Google adsense.. I really can't wait to start earning.. But I have a long way to go before all these becomes into reality..
Thank you sharing your thoughts, fellow Hubbers!
The first payout is the most difficult, like climbing the everest. I only reached my $10 now.
The first payout I got wasn't from adsense, it was from Amazon. It's a lot easier because the threshold is lower. You should prepare for the holidays now by writing sales-y hubs.
My first payout was from adsense a month ago or so after being a member on hubpages for about a year... Hopefully it comes faster this time...
My first AdSense payout was after being here 3 months; I didn't realize at the time that that was pretty good. I've been making payout every other month since then, and I think this (July) will be my first month that I'll make $100+ in one month (yay!) from AdSense alone.
Thanks, kmackey32 - I think I truly got lucky because I was completely ignorant as to how all of this works. I've learned SO MUCH in the last year, but still feel pretty ignorant in the big SEO picture!
You are very modest. You worked very hard and did a good job and it was rewarded. Naiza, you should look at people like Lily Rose, Habee, prettydarkhorse, etc. They wrote their asses off and produced a lot of hubs which had content that people find useful. If you're able to do that, you do reach payout quicker than most.
Yes, that's a good idea Flightkeeper! I also write content in other sites too like Squidoo which I contributed way a lot more than I did in my Hubs.. I hope I can do that in here for me earn a few bucks as well. I also loving the light and encouraging online community in here that makes me adapt here easily. <3
Me too, I know nothing about that, I just write... lol
I'm just going to keep on writing and not think about it because when you don't think about it! That makes it come quicker! That is just how it is when you really want something!
That's the right attitude! Glad I discovered this HubForums.. I can now spend some idle time with fellow hubbers.. I've never been that too active in any forum lately.. Thank you guys for all these amazing thoughts and experiences. I really got to learn a LOT from you, guys! :-)
naiza1986, how long have you had your Adsense account and have you ever logged into it?
Hi there Glen! I know that you already here in Hubs and some of our fellow friends here and I've read quite a lot of your amazing Hubs that pushed me to try some promising opportunities though it is much different in Squidoo in some ways because you got to write a lot of contents I guess. About my Adsense account, I have it since I started in Squidoo.. so the time I started on Squidoo was the time I also got started in Hubs though I concentrated more Squidoo pretty much to learn the online marketing system, SEO and all that jazz.. So from now on I decided to write, write and write not just on Squidoo but in here as well.. This type of business is really contagious once I started something I should have finished it right away for me to start a new lenses as well.. Pretty much I've been in and out of Squidoo and Hubs in one sitting down.. haha
I have reached about $11 and need some more effort to reach my first payout. I know I will do it soon. Till then just work on writing quality hubs and getting traffic to hubs.
One thing is not clearer to me.. Once you got paid by Amazon do they send the payment through paypal or check mail delivery because I live overseas in the Philippines.. Not a few people know that kind of stuff work in here.

Do you use your amazon affiliate accounts on sites other than hubpages? If so, where do you put your amazon links, and what kinds of products do you promote?

Can I?I have a couple of smaller accounts. As Amazon currently operates, my earnings go into one pot. From what I can understand, that won't happen once HP take over my Amazon. Or am I wrong? If I'm not, why not? I am going to lose out as it is, and I can't see the separation of my HP accounts being...

How long did it take before you started earning $50 to $100 a month on Hubpages?I try not to think all too much about the earning part on Hubpages since I'm still new here (4 months), but when you're earning literally NO money at all... It's still a bit discouraging.

I joined HubPages 3 years ago but my last article was a little over an year ago, so imagine my surprise when I received mail from Paypal a few days ago about my first payment from HubPages!I really love this site and I want to continue writing, but I just can't seem to get the inspiration, and life...
