I'm leaving at 4 a.m. for vacation and will be gone a week with no computer. How much will my HP author score drop? I'm not "hung up" on my score, but I don't want it to plunge drastically because of my inactivity on HP. Anyone have an idea?
Thanks!
Where are people getting this idea that if they aren't constantly active on HubPages that their score will plummet? It's not even remotely true. I travel multiple times per year, ranging from a few days to a few weeks, with little to zero Internet access when I do, and my score never falls outside the range of score fluctuation that it inhabits when I am active. Sometimes I can be gone for a week or two with no activity on my part, come back home, log in and find my profile showing 100.
Habee, for goodness sake, go on vacation and just relax.
I don't know. I am going on vacation tomorrow too - Oceanside - Of course, my internet addiction precludes me from being without some access to the world wide web!
;-)
I wasn't on HP for about 4 days and my score dropped about 91 to 88 but I mean I don't think there is no way to tell I guess habee..Just put in enough work before you go!!!
I was going to suggest that it would rise, but seeing what it currently is that would be unpossible!
I have secondary accounts with no forum activity in the low 90s. So depending on your traffic, it could remain the same.
There has been no drop in my traffic, nor my Adsense earnings.
My score used to be in the mid 90s. A couple of weeks ago, I took some time off from HP, and my score dropped to 88, and it still hasn't fully recovered.
I think it'll be between 99-95 when you'll come back. Have nice trip habee...
you won't care. you'll remember there's life out there.
I was off for a week once and it didn't affect it too much.
hope you all have UV protection hats!
have a super trip and maybe I'll see you on one of those keys!
Bekah, that would be so cool!
Thanks to all of your for the feedback. There's no way it would drop below 75, is there? Wouldn't my Adsense be removed at that point?
I doubt very much if it drops below mid- 90's. you're at a 100, girl! lowest might be 93-94? your hubs will still be getting plenty of views. enjoy!
Why in the world would your AdSense be removed? I don't recall any rules regarding HubPages scores. If your work was lousy (which we all know it is definitely not), your scores might be lousy and your earnings might be lousy.
There are some very respected and successful hubbers here who have less than 100 forum posts in 3 years...
I'm sure I read that your score dropping below 75 would mean that your outgoing links would become nofollow, which would only affect you if you were using Hubpages to promote your private site.
That said, there is no chance of your score dropping that low, if it drops at all.
Have a great holiday! You deserve it girl - you work so hard all year round here.
Hope you have a great vacation time away Habee! I don't believe you have any worries. I have actually seen my Hub author score rise when I have been away for several days. With your number of hubs and the number of quality hubs you have, it should be no issue.
But, if if drops to a 99, you will be OK. I would take that. lol
I know what you mean....but you will Not drop that far. I would say the worst a point or two maybe. I wish the forums played no part with the author score.
I will bet you that your score stays exactly the same - what is the bet ?
I'll take that bet! If you win, I'll write a hub for you. If I win, you write a hub for me. A 600-word minumum, quality hub. Deal??
DONE ! now push off and enjoy a real break from the prison of the internet (whilst I get busy creating multiple personae so that I can keep pumping up you rhubs and so your score )
Really - relax and enjoy being keyboard free and breathe the clean air and find out what your family look like again
Pretty sure it won't drop more than five points - Take a breath, get some fresh air and enjoy your trip - don't even think about your score so you can overcome your addiction (hehehehe). Have a great time.
Habee, I hope you enjoy your vacation. I'm not an expert on anything, but I think your author score should be just fine.

I'm finding it difficult to reach 100 hayz, my highest so far was 99 few weeks ago, and last week 98, now I'm stuck with 94-96. When I posts hubs sprinkled with research my author score gets hurt and wounded but we need traffic to boost our stock right, and research is the best way to accomplish...

My author score is now 88. I've been active on the forums, hopping hubs, and answering questions. I haven't had this low of score since when I first started. Does removing poorly performing hubs cause author scores to go down or what is the problem?

Just few days ago, I posted a hub which I think was well-organised. However, after posting that hub I saw my author score dropping around 2 points. Can anyone explain why did it happen?

This is what I have observed with my hubscore. After publishing a hub and leaving comments on other hubs, I get lots of traffic but the hubscore falls by the hour. When I stay away from HubPages for a few days, and the traffic drops to nothing, the hubscore starts to climb and reaches an all-time...

I just wanted to say congrats to all the hubbers with an author score with the 95-100 range.. 95-100 in my book is an A+.. That is awesome and I know it requires hard work and determination .. Some of you have helped me with a lot of things to know about Hubpages and I just want to say thank you,...
