I'm temporarily closing this thread, I severely underestimate the amount who would apply.
I'm up to my ears in submissions and in order to deliver on my promise on timely inclusion, I'm going to have to put a stop to the inclusions (until they've all been done)
Thank you all for being so responsive and supportive!
Paul Deeds made a good point about linking schemes here,
http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/49303#post1126859
I am neither exchanging links or asking for reciprocal links. How is what I am offering different from any other social bookmark?
I am offering a free one-way link. Not a scheme
The actual Google page that the link Paul posted goes to talks about more than that.
is this the same as origin website?
Thanks BTW for the help.
Hi Wild, I'm not sure I understand what you mean.
http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/49338#post1127654
this one posted by leanMan, are they the same?
Thanks for the link thooghun.
@relache, if there was a requirement to link back to www. best-of-hubpages. com/ or any another site in return for the link then it would be a linking scheme, but there isen't.
Ok look, I am attempting to offer what I thought would be a useful and free service (my rant isn't directed at you Peter), there is NO hidden agenda. There are no negative consequences, real or imagined. This is not a scheme.
It has been done by other Hubbers who own personal blogs, and they have been applauded for offering the service. Instead, I find a highly skeptical and suspicious welcoming committee.
I tried to check his site out but it won't show up is it a real website?
okay got it, can't cut and paste, there is a space where there shouldn't be.
checked the site out. requirements say description must include a single self serving link what is that?
Diane, I added spaces to the URL so that it wouldn't be clickable (to show that I'm not after a cheap backlink).
A single self-serving link is a link in the desciption of your hub that points wherever you want it to. In short, I don't want spammy descriptions, you already get a one-way link as it is!
Not from all of us. I sent you a link. Every backlink helps as far as I am concerned
I'll send more tomorrow
No need to answer, the link is live and indexed by Google. Thanks again. That took about 20 mins in total. Personally I hope that everyone else remains skeptical
Yes, the blog is indexed very rapidly and ideally this service is of use to newer hubs. Older hubs won't benefit too much.
On a side note, I'm queuing the rest of the submissions for now, otherwise I'm going to be spanked by Google!
The queue will resume tomorrow morning (its 2.18am here)
Thank you everyone!
I tried to add a link, but it was denied. The error message said my link was spam!
Was I supposed to add a 50-word description like it said? I did. I then followed it with a link to the hub. Did I do something wrong??
Thank you so much for the opportunity, it's very generous of you. I've just completed my first month here and need all the help I can get.
I submitted two hubs. Hope that's ok.
Thanks again

Well, I hope I am posting this in the right spot. I've been on Hubpages now a little over 3 months, and am enjoying it thoroughly, all the writers here have been great. I have done a lot of research on increasing traffic to my hubs, and mostly people seem to collectively agree that to really boost...

First of, I don't really know what I'm talking about, or to be more specific, I don't know the name of what I am talking about. But thanks to a few hubbers on here, I have taken to backlinking the easy way. You backlink a hub to...for example...shetoldme...or blurbalicious...one of them anyway.Then...

What is backlinking and how does it work? I've heard much chatter about it but still fail to understand... Thank you!
by Enelle Lamb 14 years ago
What a great idea, Enelle - I'm there! Thanks so much for the backlink.

I spent some time searching and couldn't find the answer so...Does including a referral tracker destroy the value of the backlink? If so, is using a referral tracker for the interlinking between your hubs greater than the value the backlink will provide?

I read mixed opinions about back linking hubs, I guess Google algorithm considering lot of things to rank the page well besides backlink. What you think? is back link really helped you to rank well? or without any back link a good content(with 1000 words) will rank? share your experience
