I am very excited to claim this many page views! I have been on HP for over a year, and to many, this # may seem somewhat pitiful, but it's hard work to become known on any writing site, and I am thrilled that my words have been viewed over 7,000 times!
I really love this site.
Congrats to you, Lorie! May they keep rising!
woo hoo!!!! congrats.
you know that shake and bake commercial where the kid says..."and I helped." I wanted to put a picture in here for that, but couldnt find one. Instead I learned there is shake and bake meth.???!!!! yay interent.....
anyway, thats awesome lorlie, and I am sure your going to get many many more views!
"Atta Girl" keep up the good work
btw you might look at putting some links in your profile page. Take a look at how the 'big' hubbers put links in to their profiles. In my stats the 'profile' page gets the most visits!
I'll celebrate with you, lorlie - I crossed that 7000 mark today as well.
Have you looked at the world map on analytics? You're right that it's neat to think that 7000 people have read my gibberish, and that map shows where they are from. I've watched as the world turned green (except for Africa) and enjoyed the thought that my hubs are all over the world. Fun.
Congrats to you too, Wilderness! I can't remember how many views I had at 4 months, but I may hit 150,000 before tomorrow morning! You are on a great pace!
150,000??? By God, snake man, that's fabulous!
Thanks Lorie! I don't know what is considered doing good here, but I am pleased at the traffic considering the low number of hubs I have published! Got some new ones in the works, though!
I'd say you're doing pretty okay, with an author score of 100!!!
I am pleased by this too, especially because I also had a 100 score at the same time for a while today! The money is getting better too on both Adsense and Amazon. Gotta work on the Amazon sales more, though!
But this is just fun for me, the other stuff is just gravy!
It's incredible to me that I have 7000 readers, but when you guys post those kind of numbers it is just starkly incredible. I'd say you're doing pretty well, yourself!
I suppose so compared with some on here, but I really don't spend any time backlinking at all so I am pleased. I do need to publish more hubs though!
Much like me, Randy. The only linking I do is between my hubs and occasionally someone else's, and a few RSS feeds to the sites sunforged provided. One day as more money comes in I may pay for some backlinking, but for now I'm pleased with my results. Nearly half my hubs are on googles page 1 or 2; with most of them less than 2 months old that's good enough.
Of course, the other half aren't to be found anywhere at all and the traffic shows it!
I really need to use the RSS feeds more, probably! But all that stuff bores the heck out of me. Since I write mainly for fun it's hard to get motivated enough to do all of that junk. I average about 1000 views a day now and look for it to keep climbing in the future.
Why backlink if others are doing it for you?
Well, that's what I figure as well. I used the feeds in the hopes it would get me indexed faster, and I think it did. It only took me about 2 hours to build all the links and submit them to everything in such a way that any new hub I write gets shown for a while.
A dual purpose - the setup also lets me provide a RSS on each hub to similar topics I wrote previously, which I think is a good thing.
Perhaps you are right, but getting on page one of google seems to help more than anything! Especially when you sit in the #1 spot!
A paltry 150,000 views Randy? Ptheeww! Really, you should be doing better than that.
j/k I'm not anywhere near where you are!
I know I should try harder, but I'm just having fun here, FK! LOL!
No way, really? So cool, wilderness! I've never understood what the map was all about, so thanks for the heads up. It is crazy to imagine folks reading my craziness, too-gotta love it!
Thanks, Randy-I hope so!
That's what it is. Try clicking to expand the map, then click the US, then a state. It just keeps expanding clear down to towns. Funny, though - it has me (the big Idaho reader for my hubs) in the wrong town. I assume that's where my ISP is.
I also see that California has passed Idaho for readership - I take that to mean that my organic traffic has passed well beyond my HP traffic (me).
Congratulations! I'm about to hit 75k but only because maybe four of my hubs have taken off to over 100 views a day. The rest are lucky to get 20 views a day.
Nearly up to your 10k accolades badge!
Think it's wiser to hide how well I'm doing since I'd rather not have too many people copying my hubs.
Perhaps you're right, but good luck to them finding the ones which are productive!
Yes well I purposely hid my four hubs that are getting over 100 hits a day among my other 153 'fake' hubs.
Exactly! I have over 300 hubs, good luck to anyone trying to figure out which ones get the most hits and which ones make the most money because the ones with the most hits don't necessarily have the highest scores or make me the most money. I can say that every single hub that DOES make me the bulk of my money were NOT hubs written for that purpose. It just worked out that way.
I like this because it does make it harder for someone to figure out which hubs are the most lucrative!
Congrats Lorlie! I have always made it a habit to write down the date of each milestone. I still track each 10,000 pageviews. It's encouraging to go back and look at how much closer each one comes around. In the next 24 hrs I will pass 370,000 pageviews.
Now see, that's something to shoot for! Congrats to you too, KCC!
Good Lord, you guys make our paltry 7,000 look, well, pretty danged paltry! 370,000?? Wow. KCC, I like that idea of keeping track of these stats, thanks for the suggestion. I have been noticing that my stats are looking better recently, I'm not sure why, but I think I'll keep track of things on paper.
Here we go again, Lorlie - I started a spreadsheet today to keep track of views, income, number of hubs and such monthly. Figure if I wait too much longer I will have forgotten too much.
And I am not poultry. A baby longhorn, maybe. Ya gotta keep the faith!
Lorlie - great writer - great hubs and more importantly a Hublicious Hubber
Hubalicious? Hehe, thanks!
Randy, you made me Google F/K. Ooh la la!
Congrats!
I just hit 1k views the other day. My hubs are growing quickly. I have a couple hubs that get 20 hits a day.
I need to work on my marketing for my hubs. Backlinks, RSS feeds, all that.
I just broke 10K Friday - or was it Saturday?
Anyway, once it hit 9950 I was reloading every fifteen minutes :-)
It's funny, because as I said in another thread, 10,000 p/v is just a ho-hum, ok but not so great day at my main site, but it is fun to watch things grow here.
Congrats Lorlie - you will hit the next milestone soon!
Congratulations lorlie! With your writing talent, you deserve even more. Well done..
Yay, Laurel! You certainly deserve every view, plus more!! Luv ya, girl!
Congrats lorlie! That's great going considering you achieved the milestone with just 30 hubs.I'm very happy for you.
Congratulations Lorlie. It's all downhill running from here!
Congratulations, Lorlie. Milestones are nice. Every view well deserved.

I finally wrote 200 hubs and I've surpassed 100,000 page views. My 200th hub linked together many of my hubs pertaining to small businesses. It's gratifying to know I finally reached another milestone. Thanks to the many of you Hubbers who have served as inspiration during my time here.

I have been watching my page view numbers every day for the last few months and finally hit 100,000 tonight. BUT...now I want to get the 1 million accolade before I have finished 2 years on HP. I plugged the numbers in my Windows calculator---I will need to hit 2400 page views per day, every day,...

Hey guys after 9 months today I reached 32,000 page views, and I am working hard to reach 40,000 page views this month, this just proofs that patience and work pay off..good luck to allLester

I am getting 1000-1200 page views a day since last Friday (15 Mar 2013) to my 50 Hubs whereas 600-800 views a day are from search traffic. Earnings also reached $3-$5 a day with the increase in page views. Not able spare time to write but will try to add more 50 hubs quickly.

Hit 1 million views today. These niche sites have been truly rewarding. Thanks to all the help and support from HP and you hubbers over the years!
