A writer died and was given the option of going to heaven or hell.
She decided to check out each place first. As the writer descended into the fiery pits, she saw row upon row of writers chained to their desks in a steaming sweatshop. As they worked, they were repeatedly whipped with thorny lashes.
"Oh my," said the writer. "Let me see heaven now."
A few moments later, as she ascended into heaven, she saw rows of writers, chained to their desks in a steaming sweatshop. As they worked, they, too, were whipped with thorny lashes.
"Wait a minute," said the writer. "This is just as bad as hell!"
"Oh no, it's not," replied an unseen voice. "Here, your work gets published."
Just a funny joke!
That is OBSCENE.
Surely writers get paid after they die !!
Once I lived under the misconception that I would make money this side of death, but to think that there is an eternity with little reward ahead of me isn't very inspiring.
Still, great pain makes great stories
A look of despair appeared on her face but wait there is another door just in sight.
As she enters the door there is a beauty she has never seen before --- no writers -- no readers
"ah I don't need heaven or hell to live happily ever after"
but wait no readers - no turmoil - no despair

Are eternal Heaven and eternal Hell not the human concepts only ?With utmost respect to all religions and their adherents, I compel to think that if these two concepts are excluded from the religious texts, the people find all the religions on the same pedestal and a kind of reciprocity and...

Everyone keeps talking about who gets to go which way; and I realized no one has ever said where they think either is. I'd be interested in the thoughts of those who think we go straight to heaven or hell when we die. Do you propose parallel universes? Right here, around us, but you can't see it?...
