Of course I cannot disclose actual figures because Father Google doesn't like that, but I did run some reports comparing Adsense earnings at my main site against my earnings here.
The traffic is vastly different, both in volume and in kind, so, as with most such comparisons, you have to remain skeptical, but the difference is still interesting.
My main site gets 95 times the page views I get here.
The CPC (average earned per click) is just about the same - only 2 cents difference, and HP is lower.
The CTR (Click through rate) is 71% higher at HubPages - yes, 71%!
The RPM (money earned per thousand) is 58% higher here at HubPages.
Those are very impressive figures - and of course I'm only getting part of the earnings!
Now, as I said, my demographics are very different, so that may account for a lot of it. My main site visitors trend toward technically savvy and therefore may be less likely to click on ads. However, I remain surprised to see such a marked difference.
Rock on, HP, rock on.
They are some impressive figures, I have been very impressed with Hubpages since I joined up. i write on a few other sites and this one seems like it may well be the best. As you say, Rock on HP!
Great stats there, I am pretty impressed that Hubpages compares so well with your website.. I would not have thought that possible .
Thanks for the enlightenment.., that may make people sit up and think!
HP really Rocks!!
Good comparison. I am happy in the end that you say HP rock on.
