I feel pretty dumb. I can't figure out how to give someone fan mail. It's probably real easy, and right under my nose. Any one want to help a newbie?

If you are using Firefox, what I usually do, it is a question of coming back to profile after you friended the person, and refreshing it. Then it will show a text box where you can type a fanmail into. IE refreshes automatically, and shows the box when you return to profile.
I think there is a special link somewhere on the page you get right after friending, but I am not sure.
