I am trying to increase traffic to my hubs... Isn't everyone.
I posted a link to my hub on Reditt,
which was a movie review hub.
I checked back a few hours later, a reditt user posted
"You suck at spamming."
Are many Reditt users A-holes in anyone's experience...LOL
I use reddit...not the easiest to use but it does get traffic for me at least. Hope this helps.
I gave up using Reddit a long time ago. I spent months trying to use it sensibly, as the concept is intended, and got nothing but obscenities and hatred directed at me from all quarters. I got the impression that it makes the Freemasons seem like an all welcome club!
Unless it has changed beyond all recognition in these last 18 months or so, your first impression is 100% correct
Thanks all maybe I'll use it for traffic as long as I dont mind being insulted... Other comments I've received
"What the F***is this s***"
"This is the most poorly written article I have ever read"
Wow thanks Reddit!
From what I have seen, Reddit dislikes blogs and HATES HubPages.
That being said, if you go into a community, post other peoples articles, contribute to conversations, vote things up...every once and a while they wont mind you posting a link to HP.
You may still get some flack, but not as much.
I had a Redditor deny a HP article I posted once.
I messaged him/her personally and said "Listen, this isn't spam, read it."
The Redditor did and approved it after reading.
Yes I will use reddit sparingly...Yet I dont see what is so offensive to them if I post a link to what I think is an interesting article...
Some people there see any link to Blogger, HP, Squidoo etc as spam.
Even if it's not your article.
Not everyone mind you, but usually the more vocal ones.
I gave up! I went from having a hub featured there to not being allowed to post.
Why not try Redgage? It's quite effective and everyone's supportive. Each person is there to share quality content and I must say the views I've received have been valued. Also.. you earn money on there for views and link clicks, so it's win-win!

So, I just logged in after almost 18 hours without power, to discover that my article on The Woodmen's Circle Home is getting slammed with traffic. It usually gets under 100 views in a day. So far today, Google...
