They might once have had a hub, and some people follow anything they see.

I have seen some people with followers who have written no hubs. Here is waht happens. You join up on hubpages. You read someone's work and decide to follow that person. That person is flattered and feels like her or she should follow back in kind, not realizing that the reason the other person hasn't written a hub isn't because they joined only two hours ago, but because the person doesn't doesn't plan on writing hubs.

that should read he or she, not her or she.  And for some reason spelling what as waht is a common typo for me.

Some people take great pride in getting followers, so they indiscriminately follow people and get followers in return.. Indiscriminate following is frowned upon by HP and you get penalized .

I don't mind people following me, it's the stalkers I worry about.

I only follow people that I enjoy reading, it is bad feedback to do otherwise I think.  I have noticed a couple of people on here who seem to follow everyone.  I can't follow more than I can read, when would I write?
