Hubpages says my article is duplicated

   I check with 3 different duplicated content checkers one said 98% original the other one said 93% original then the last one said original content. Should I just resubmit my article?

      I'm having problems with one labeled as Duplicate Content, too. You say you checked with "checkers". Are there some kind of checkers where we can get help with identifying what is duplicated??

         yes and its free it takes a little to get use to but its simple to use its called xtremecontentchecker just Google it if you can't find it let me know I will see if I can find the link

   My first question will be, Have you ever publish the article somewhere else? maybe that is why they said it is a duplicate content. if NO i suggest you review the article and publish it again. hope that helps

      Yes, I sold the article to ehow "How to Change an Adult Diaper the Easy Way"
      
      I changed everything the title,intro and the checkers do not indicate not one sentence to be duplicated.
      
      The title is now "How to Change an Adult Diaper in a Hospital Bed "

         Changing the title and intro alone does not make the Hub original.
         
         Unfortunately, you will not be able to publish this Hub since it is already published elsewhere on the Internet.
         
         I would focus on creating a wholly-original Hub and then you shouldn't have any trouble publishing it.

                  I forgot I had a free program its called Xtreme content checker what this program allows you to do is take your original article and your revised article and compare them you have several settings you can set it for paragraphs or sentences or even matching words.  If you put it on words it shows you every matching word if set for sentences it high lights any matching sentence.  When I compared ehows article to the one I am try to publish not one sentence match nor any paragraphs.

                     If I understand you correctly, you are using a tool to help you change "enough" of the text for the tool to tell you it's original.
                     
                     Unfortunately, we use a different standard, and that's not a practice we sanction anyway (tweaking already-published text to make it "barely original").
                     
                     I strongly suggest abandoning that practice, and focusing on writing truly original Hubs from scratch.

                        No I am not using a tool to change the text this tool only compares any kind of duplication between to documents.

                        Not only is Jason right, he looks like the kind of guy that can punch hard. I'd take his advice. It is okay to write on the same topic, but start a whole new hub without referencing the old hub. Make it totally new, from a different angle. You get more traffic that way.

                        I have tried several article spinners in the 'Past" they are useless and a big waste of time.  None of them work.  None of the sentences ever make sense.

   I did not go on the Inernet to see how adult diapers are changed.  I wrote that article from my own exsperience.  I just used the article title which I changed to write another original.  I wrote it off the top of my head.  I never even looked at the first article I wrote.  The revised article I wrote it off the top of my head also.

      LOL! Good one .  I'm learning to check every sentence in Google to make sure it is not close to anything already out there. This is to save me the headache of getting a Duplicate warning ... especially due to my advanced age

         Ms Dee, you shouldn't have to do that.  If you're writing in your own words, it's highly unlikely you'll be accused of duplicate content.
         
         The only time you're likely to get caught for duplicate content accidentally is where you quote too much text from another site.
         
         You may also get caught, like Tamron, if you're paraphrasing something you've already written, or paraphrasing an existing article somewhere line by line.  Best to write new stuff.

            Thanks for these parameters, Marisa! This makes sense. When I write about personality types from my head, and a previous personality type I've already written about has one characteristic the same, I sometimes explain that characteristic in the same words. You know, when explaining it to clients over and over at work, it gets stuck in my head that way. LOL, a broken record!

   Have you tried using the Copyscape checker?  You have to pay for it but it will show you if your article is showing similarities to any other article online.  If you want to send your article to me I can check it for you if you want?

   Theoretically, such situation could happen if somebody stole your hub and submitted it to another site before your hub page was indexed by search engines.

   I don't think resubmitting of the same will help, once it is flagged as duplicate.
   Try to create a new hub all over again.

   I have experienced it too. The first article i should have published was marked as duplicate. The i tried to research it and it seems like one article are likely the same as mine. I have a choice to revise the whole article but instead of doing the whole article again, i just made the new one...
