   Time surely does fly when you're making friends and influencing people*!!
   
   I just received the following email from Hub Pages:
   
   "You have hit a pretty impressive milestone: your 3 Year Anniversary on HubPages!
   Fun fact: Leather is a traditional gift given on third year anniversaries. Perhaps today is the day to splurge on a gorgeous purse or briefcase!"
   
   
   After 3 years on the Politics & Social Issues Forum, I'm thinking whip.

    My fourth anniversary is coming up.  Apparently, I should go out and get myself either "fruit and flowers", a linen table cloth (for some reason), or else (I guess) a kitchen appliance (for the modern person who buys himself a gift).  (I think I'll instead buy myself a new leather wallet, send it to myself with a "sorry I missed your third anniversary card", and let that be it.  I have fruit and flowers on a regular basis, but I do need a new wallet. )  In the meantime, though..   You can enjoy that whole "leather thing", I guess.
