The software for the forums provides plenty as is. This subject was brought up to the community in the past and if you feel like, you can search using the little white box at the top of the page and find the forum posts with regards to it.
The community has shot it down. Hubpages isn't a social networking site and as far as I can tell, that hasn't changed. It's a writers site.
lol . you do know that forum is just a fancy word for chatting don't you?
the overwhelming no from regular posters in forum cracks me up.
shakes head. denile must be a river in Egypt
Chat moves fast Ray, which is what is different than a forum. Chat doesn't need to be refreshed, and the forums do. Yet, another difference.
Lol, I too thought it was interesting that regular posters speedily answered NO hehe
Anyway, who needs chat when we have forums
lol i stand somewhat corrected. its spelled different too . there's always that. and Cagsil i hate to break it to you bro but right now... were kinda chattin. call it what you want.
lol i had to refresh to see if someone had posted anything new. btw, what's that interesting pic you have for ur profile?
Really Ray? I wouldn't have ever guessed. Which proves that HP doesn't need a chat, now does it?
lets paint a pretty pic to cover whats thought ugly. that will make it better
Various hubbers have attempted to create their own chatrooms but have rarely gotten much of a response.
i work with clay and polymers too . i have hundreds of lil sculptures.
forum, chat , Facebook ,twitter. all of them full of words being said.
very few worth listening to.
"for one word a man is often deemed to be wise. and for one word he is often deemed to be foolish. we ought to be careful, indeed , what we say."
and yes you got me cagsil. your good with the wit . i appreciate that.
I have so much trouble keeping up with chats. The forums are much more organized and you don't have to stare at one screen for hours just to keep up. My vote also goes to no~
they did change the format of threads so you can opt for either by responses or chronologically (I think that's the way it is) so that any thread can kind of serve like a chat room. We chat all the time in places like the "last one to post" thread and "banned because" and there used to be a "Hub tribe is forming" thread which lasted quite awhile - mostly we just act silly on those threads. So you're better off posting specific threads for the topics you want to discuss (and obviously, when you look at some of the ones that exist, you can post just about anything that ain't too bad or porno or some such!) anyway, have fun - we're all fun to talk to even if we are writers. I mean, just because we're writers doesn't mean we don't like to chat and act out - in fact in days of yore there used to be some very funny chats (when we were young and foolish, I guess)
I say yes, those who don't want to chat that way can stick to forums. At least give others that choice.

I don't get why it is necessary. Doesn't mean they will get any more attention.

Lol. NO, this forum has nothing to do with me, nor anyone i know in particular. lol. I just felt like opening up another fun sex related forum as i do get a kick out of your reactions. lol. Anyway, I saw this happen in a movie once where a guy has sex with a girl, but...

I've started a chat room for hubber's to connect each other easily. Relache suggested me to start a chat room for hubbers when I posted a Thread on 'Report a problem or Suggest a new feature' forum about starting a chat room for hubpages. If you're interested.....check it out....

Who thinks we should ask to reinstate a page dedicated to locating hubbers by hubber score. Beginning with 100-0.We once had such a page here that made the hubber score much more relevant, and we could at least get a chance to locate the top hubbers who most definitely deserved high praise for...
