Just wanted to post that I have officially recovered from the plunge of aug 8. Dont know if I might plunge again or what? What I did. I went and did some very minor modifications to 5 of my hubs to show google this was an active account. Also deleted one of my hubs that I wrote on aug6 that I thought maybe it was being considered as duplicate content. Yesterday 7 views. This morning up to 110.
Wonderful, my plunge is also recovering. Traffic started moving back up yesterday. I didn't do anything to my hubs though.
Congrats Tilecleaninghub!!
I am tweaking my hubs since plunge but no improvements so far. Hope it picks up soon.
Don't celebrate until it lasts. I recovered for one day, then went right back down.
Congratulations! I'm happy for you. It is always nice to hear good news here on Hubpages. Cheers!
I had recovered but today I plunged big time. It's almost as if google is rotating the plunges and surges amongst hubbers.
Don't say that! I was enjoying some stability! ;-)
My traffic was down for 6 days, but has now been up for 11 days.
Every time I publish a hub though, I am soooo nervous that I am going to trip some switch and plunge again!
I hope you turnaround soon, toygurus!
I had a great weekend with a big surge and now it's starting to drop..I hope it stops..
I hope it does too, Stacie. Tuesday is always the day I begin to see a slow drop until next Sunday - maybe that's all it is.
I am facing the same problem, but I thought that would be normal as traffic is generally greater on the weekends and drops as people are back to their day jobs.
I've always had the opposite experience - higher traffic during the week with the main peek on Tuesday or Wednesday. The weekends generally drop by about 25% or more.
I don't think it has anything to do with tweaking or not tweaking hubs. My traffic had quintupled (is that a word?) since yesterday! Exciting, but I've been on this ride before!
enjoy the ride DIYweddingplanner!
mine lasted 4 days and now is dropping again.
Google like to mess with our emotions..
It's got to be a man running that Google show!
Ha ha. I picture a monkey just pushing all the switches every now and then. This sub domain thing has beenan absolute rollercoaster ride. Except it's not as fun.
Yeah, more like the kind that make you throw up at the end!
I'm really glad your traffic is back. Keep your fingers crossed.
I plunged again starting yesterday sometime. Last time this happened I went tweaking keyword density etc. this time I'm not going to bother as I'm almost convinced these plunges have nothing to do with the actual content of my subdomain and everything to do with Google being Google.
Second account plunged just over a week ago. No recovery as of yet.
Main account plunged today.
Yay!
Traffic yesterday 7. Traffic today 316. Never had this much traffic ever. I also have deleted any questionable hubs in previous couple weeks. Hope it lasts.
Yes my traffic has been going down for a few days, slowly but still going the wrong way!
My traffic has shown a 400% increase (with a steady consistent rise) since the subdomain drop (with usual fall over the weekend) - no real plunges but some variation. BUT have I published about 30 hubs in the last month. I'm not boasting but simply stating the facts. I removed RSS and added summaries, no other changes. My new hubs attract more traffic because I spend about 20 minutes optimizing the keywords and titles. I think many other hubbers have shown similar steady improvements but are reluctant to say so and be accused of boasting. I hope the yeast works for everyone else soon!
I'm seeing a lot of red arrows and traffic rises across all hubs today, although it is just one hub that remains the biggest breadwinner.

By "the plunge", I mean specifically mean suddenly losing over 80% of traffic during the period from the 10th August* up until the present (technically speaking, it's the google traffic that goes, of course, incoming traffic from links is unaffected).By "recovered" I mean...

I don't have big hub numbers but my Google traffic has gone from 40 - 60 views per day to nil and hubs that were in the top ten search results have suddenly disappeared. This is true of hubs I've had for a couple of months, and hubs I wrote within the last week.I've seen numerous comments about...

Anybody else dipping in traffic as of yesterday Oct 14? Apparently, Google made another algorithm change, and my traffic has taken a bit of a plunge because of it. Anyone else experiencing similar results?

I'm experiencing a traffic drop. I believe it is because of what this thread is talking about... http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/112459 When it comes to ranking, there are just too many whims of fate... And Happy Thursday! 4:30 AM, USA, West Coast.

Today my HP traffic was the highest ever - WAY higher than it was pre-Panda. Since the switch to sub-domains, my traffic and earnings have steadily climbed. What I want to know is:Is this likely to last? Why is it happening?Just because I've endured some Google algorithm updates, am I likely to...

I have been struggling with Google traffic and finally out of frustration, I unpublished close to 30 hubs that simply weren't getting traffic. If I leave these unpublished for more than 30 days, will they look new to Google? Would a video help these stagnant hubs?I have lessened the Amazon capsules,...
