Well, I was coming to Welcome YOU to Hubpages! hmm

I'm sure Hubpages had a reason for pulling down your hubs and I'm sure that they told you why they pulled them down also.

Why you would give up since you just started is beyond me. hmm It shouldn't be too difficult to take care of the problem and get them published again.

If you choose not to do so, then that is your choice. Good luck. hmm

I think that is wrong for them to just pull your originals and say they were unfit how long were they up? before they decided to pull them that is very rude

      1. Cagsil profile image72
Cagsilposted 13 years agoin reply to this

It doesn't matter how long they are up. If the hubs don't fit the requirements for the topics chosen or the guidelines HP has for topics, then they will be pulled down.

There's been hubbers who had 1 year or older hubs pulled down, because those hubs didn't fit the new changes HP constituted for rules.

So far, it's completely unknown why this person's hubs were pulled down.

I don't blame her she has 53 followers and she put out her personal writings and pulled? what sense does that make, it is not like they are paying thousands of dollars from what I reviewed their pay is pennies

          1. Cagsil profile image72
Cagsilposted 13 years agoin reply to this

That depends on the writing, and many other factors.
It again depends on the topics. Hubpages only pays people via the Hubpages Ads Program and Ebay Program. It's just starting to incorporate Amazon and Adsense.

However, using Google Adsense, which is a revenue-sharing program in and of itself, is part and parcel the problem and solution. Good content on specific topics with good keyword research backing it, can possibly make good money.

Otherwise, it makes pennies or a dime a day. Again, this depends on the topics.

    1. drlyn profile image60
drlynposted 13 years agoin reply to this

Fit requirements, what requirements the ones I read were simply and what they pay is very minimum, the person said different ones enjoyed them so why were they pulled?

The two pages below should be adequate enough to give anyone, everything they need to know to get started. It isn't that difficult to write here and the pay can be good for those who are really good writers.

You are being a bit naive here. Hubpages do insist on certain things, including no duplicate content (even if it is your own work and you have it published elsewhere), they also have rules about adult content, overly promotional content etc. Now even I have had Hubs unpublished for minor misdemeanors, and have for the most part been able to make adjustments that allowed them to be republished. Additionally I make an income that is worth having (as of recently) on Hubpages, but I am not 'paid', I write and people find and view my hubs. This is not the same as being 'paid well', you will only earn according to the quality of your writing, end of, this is not the same as getting wages.

You might find this forum thread helpful: http://hubpages.com/forum/topic/82975

You will see many people are earning well, and a 60/40 split is pretty good for use of a free website to show off and earn from your work.

are you saying her writings weren't good from her profile she earned 6 awards and also have very good review, so what are you trying to say?

    1. Cagsil profile image72
Cagsilposted 13 years agoin reply to this

I'm not saying anything about her writing, simply because there's presently too much that remains unknown about her writing. I'm not one of her followers and haven't read anything she had written.

So, what's your point in all this? I'm simply trying to make sense out her problem and with the lack of interaction on her part(not on yours), I'm only pointing out that there are rules and guidelines to follow with regards to writing on HP.

It appears since you weren't one of her followers you really are not a person I should be asking the question to then, maybe I should ask one of her 54 followers.  I have been talking with the wrong person if I want to get the truth behind how this website operates, it appears I am just spending my wheels corresponding with you, can one of lyns followers respond.

drlyn is also under the assumption that followers actually read everyone's hubs, when the reality is that frequently a new hubber goes on a 'following spree' and follows loads of hubbers on the assumption they will automatically follow them back. Unfortunately some will, but usually out of courtesy rather than being genuine fans. Real fans follow without prompting in my experience.

Now starting to seriously wonder if drlyn is also lyns (original poster). You might notice (Cagsil) that the names are very similar wink

    1. SimeyC profile image83

It is exactly what you make of it. If you embrace the TOS and write quality content, you'll find all of the people commenting here are very very helpful and will give you decent feedback and help you earn some residual income. That's the whole point - this site is aimed at making money (even though some write for the fun of it) and because of that, Hubpages has to set rules so that Google do not punish the site....that's the simple fact of life

Apparently earning from hubs was never important to you anyway. Leave the rest of the 'real' writers to actually earn from quality hubs that fulfill the requirements of HP's rules.

Maybe you should all stop arguing about the reasons for the hubs being unpublished and instead FIND THEM OUT.

I think this example from a cached copy of Lyns hubs sums up the reason her hubs were unpublished:

"In case you were still waiting for Facebook charges as you see they are not going to happen. Face book to charge different packages for users coming in the future?, if you heard this rumor it is just that Face book has said they do not plan on ever charging members and that this information is false for those of you that is panicking or spreading the rumor, because this rumor was like wild fire and spread so fast Facebook finally address this rumor."

I haven't read all the hubs, but if they share similar grammar, punctuation and style then I'm unsurprised they were unpublished - probably as low quality.

And Lyns, for your information, there are people on the site who earn hundreds of dollars each month. But, like starting out in a minimum wage job, it takes TIME to learn the skills required to pull in lots of traffic and earnings from a hub. Just writing on willy-nilly, saturated and unoriginal topics won't get you there.
