How often do you hange your avatar?

   I changed my avatar today to reflect the mood I was looking for. Since it's cold and I'm stuck inside,I picked a bright pink flower to remind me of warmer weather.
   Do you change often and I wonder if a face is better?

      lol I've changed mine once in five weeks. I prefer to show my face on my avatar but that's just because I prefer it. No reason really. I like that you change your avatar to reflect the mood

                  There's a store in my area that sells all types of gorgeous stones and rocks just like that. They are beautiful in person!

      I update my avatar about once a year.  I prefer to post actual pictures of myself for my avatars, but I don't have a preference when it comes to other people.

            It's all bright red right now as I do a half-yearly hair color switch.  I've got pics on my biography hub.  But come spring the purple one will be color accurate again...

   I don't change very often... In fact, I've only changed once.  As the Community Manager, I want to be easily (and quickly) identifiable, so I don't want to confuse people by switching my picture too often.

   Avatars are cool but I get a sense of the person I'm reading as being out in the open when a real pic is used,just my preference.Of course that only applies to nonfiction,otherwise it may benefit the author.
   Mine is there to intimidate and cause my ex says only a mother could love it...Ha!
