I changed my avatar today to reflect the mood I was looking for. Since it's cold and I'm stuck inside,I picked a bright pink flower to remind me of warmer weather.
Do you change often and I wonder if a face is better?
lol I've changed mine once in five weeks. I prefer to show my face on my avatar but that's just because I prefer it. No reason really. I like that you change your avatar to reflect the mood
Today I should change my avatar to a bottle of exedrin. I have a migraine that's gonna kill me
lol paradigmsearch when I first saw your avatar I thought it was a cabbage. It confused me at first until I realized what it really was
Yes I know. I saw that and then realized haha.
cabbage! lol
I didn't know what it was for a few days..
Everyone is picking on my avatar!
The green cat is waiting in the background...
When my Emerald City poem collects 20+ comments, maybe the green cat will emerge...
green cat?
btw I went ahead and commented on your poem, to expedite the coming of said green cat. it sounded cool
no really in all seriousness it was a good poem. I liked it I voted it up
You weren't around the first time I let him loose.
Thanks.
Hey Ashton, why wait when you don't have to wait?
Here is the hub to go with it.
http://paradigmsearch.hubpages.com/hub/Glow-Cats
What?? Why?? what have I ever done to you???
Ok ok I take back that thing about the cabbage....
Too late. They got out of their cages about a half-hour ago. Besides, it's up to them, not me.
As long as you're not that first house, you should be OK.
Well, if it helps, I never thought it was cabbage.
There's a store in my area that sells all types of gorgeous stones and rocks just like that. They are beautiful in person!
I'll try to watch for the green cat; and I commented on your hub.
I update my avatar about once a year. I prefer to post actual pictures of myself for my avatars, but I don't have a preference when it comes to other people.
I don't change very often... In fact, I've only changed once. As the Community Manager, I want to be easily (and quickly) identifiable, so I don't want to confuse people by switching my picture too often.
I've changed mine once and don't plan to change it again at any point soon.
I have been wondering about sprucing mine up a bit. I'm not 100% sure that my search visitors are delighted when they realise they have landed on a page written by a moron.
I change mine daily (for freshness), but I replace it with the exact same image
Well, I guess I might be the most "boring" when it comes to avatars, then. I've never switched it - LOL!
The reason? We specifically created this pic for this very purpose and I want to become associated with it.
I personally like to see a person's face. I feel I know them better. Mine is a toast to my friends and followers. Here's to you!
Only did it once for a few days. It was a red dress for Christmas.
like I just did now. Not my face, which I will go back to
Avatars are cool but I get a sense of the person I'm reading as being out in the open when a real pic is used, just my preference.Of course that only applies to nonfiction, otherwise it may benefit the author.
Mine is there to intimidate and cause my ex says only a mother could love it...Ha!
Inspired by this thread I have changed my pic. It is the new me for 2012. I am hopeful it will shift more Amazon product without being too scary or psychotic.
Include your professional signature at the bottom! Gary Larson style?
Yep that signature didn't really work but I got fed up with trying.
Jeez, Mark! I just read your latest hub. Man you write awesome political articles!

Ah, that was an occasional just let one rip. I try to keep it to a minimum.
I haven't changed my avatar in a while. My first Avatar i had for two eyars. This one i've had for a year or so now, and I probably won't change it for another three, LOL
Never because I have a link in my profile for the artist who painted the portrait I use.
well I changed my profile avatar to a face shot since so many wanted me to keep one.
Not much. I keep the same avatar for a couple of weeks (maybe months), and then I consider changing it.
I prefer to "brand" my avatar so it matches my moniker so it will not change.

Do you or have you ever changed your profile avatar? Why?Whilst I believe most people don't do this I have noticed a few people who seem to do this quite regularly.

How many times have some of you old-timers changed? And, why?I changed because I perceived that I could possibly be labelled as " Oh, that Christian!" Well, I am not THAT kind of Christian, you see, though I am a true Christian. And, you know who that is, of course!

I've noted that some of you hubbers change your Avatar as often as I change my underwear....about once a week. Does the appeal of a given avatar affect your hits? Or is it your mood or personality of the moment? Afre you more apt to read a hub if the avatar is sexy as opposed to a...

One of my higher traffic hubs is showing increased traffic today; curious I searched for the keywords. The hub didn't show up in the first 30 spots, or it least it wasn't the proper color for having been visited.Closer examination showed that it was there, in position #4, first page. ...

I just updated my profile, and I am curious. Have you ever updated your profile or made slight changes to it?

Should I change my avatar?I've been using the same ugly mugshot on here since I joined 2 years ago. Is it time for a change or is it better to keep it the same to make me more identifiable to those who already know me?
