This duffus just stole an already standing hub.

This is the one he stole:

How in the world did you know this? I see the copied one is "no longer published". What makes people think they can do this?
flagged the creep. And he copy-pasted the poll as well didn't have the time to create a copy poll it seems. But why didn't he add the pics as well
how weird is that? not only that the creepo stole it, but the chances that you would happen on it? and know what to do - btw how do you go about finding out if a hub you're reading was copied and where it came from in HP?
I just copy some of the text and paste it into google between quotation marks
I do not understand why the user profile is still active. Surely such an event should mean an instant permanent ban?!
Wow, you're a sharp one, UW! I agree with WriteAngled. It should be an instant permanent ban. What an eejit!
Good job. That's one of the great things here at Hubpages. The real community members watching over each other. Way to go.
I have tried to publish three hubs, which have been left unpublished due to duplicate content, even though I don't have them published elsewhere. I googled the titles and content, but have drawn a blank. One of the hubs, I wrote especially for hubpages, so can't understand how it can be duplicate content.
I am glad that you found this out. I'm going to follow this forum. Maybe then I can spot it myself and help out too. I'm interesting in seeing if I would be able to tell. I think it's awful trying to do that. I think the person that did it did not realize, similar to what Bruzzbuzz typed, that the majority of people here are serious about their writing and it's good to know that we are here to help each other out.
I don't understand why this happened in the first place. I got a "duplicate" notice on one of my own hubs, and could not publish the second one. I had unpublished a hub about 2 weeks ago, planning to repackage the info in smaller chunks. I wrote the team, and got it cleared very quickly, but still, I could not initially publish the second hub.
I don't understand how this happened either. I got a "duplicate" notice within 24 hours on one of my Hubs.
Me neither. I have been transferring hubs from one of my other accounts to this wordscribe one. I will delete the hub from the other profile, wait until it's totally gone. Then, I will go to Webmaster tools and expedite the Google cache removal (if you don't know about that tool, it's awesome). I'll wait a few hours until Google removes it. Then after all of this, I will attempt to publish it on this account... but guess what? I get a duplicate warning! Huh? Weird... but it always goes away after about 12 hours. So, I have no idea how the filters aren't catching these kinds of hubber-to-hubber thief doozers.

So .... I was just flagged for a hub I wrote last night. It was flagged as a duplicate.I didn't even cite anything in this hub. I quoted a bunch of stuff in my Anaconda piece and none of it was flagged as duplicate, so someone must have copied and pasted my new hub. Everything on...

After publishing my hub can I copy it to my website? will it come in "duplicate" category later?
by Kaitlyn Brower 10 years ago
I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I wrote a hub about Mormons being Christians from an inside perspective. A few days after it was published it got moderated for duplication. However, the only hubs I can find on the subject have the exact OPPOSITE...

Hi,I'm a brand new hubber. For my first hub, I picked an article, I wrote on my blog. I don't have any affiliate links or link to my blog. I'm not trying to promote my blog, I just thought that article might be an intresting read. I published about an hour ago, now it says...

Hi all,Initially I was not planning to publish the information of my hubs here because I think it is somewhat personal. So, I have sent a message to the hubpages support about 24 hours ago. But since I haven't get back any reply and my hubs are all still unpublished, I guess I have to do more to...

I think it will be a good idea to have the feature to copy (duplicate) any existing capsule. It will especially be useful while working with 'Tables'. If you need to create multiple table with similar layout, one can simply create one table and duplicate it. It will also help while creating any new...
