As the year is getting started, I have noticed that many people are getting started on various home improvement projects, so I thought I would bring back a modified version of a theme we did about two months ago.
Do you have any such projects in the works? Write about them in this week’s Weekly Topic Inspiration round! Our theme Easy Home Improvement Projects.

If you'd like to join in on this week's topic by writing a Hub, follow these steps:
1) Click here to visit this week's topic. 2) Click the green button "answer this question". 3) Click the gray button below the box (leave that empty) that says "make a Hub about it." 4) Give your Hub a very specific title, like Easy Summer Gardening Projects for Kids or Challenging Summer Activities for Teens 5) Create good quality original content that hasn't been covered before. 6) After you publish your Weekly Topic Inspiration Hub, come back to this forum thread and post a link to your Hub with a brief description of what you wrote about and why.
I wrote about 5 Bathroom Decorating Ideas on a Budget, because too frequently I've ran into bland tiny bathrooms and their owners have given up the idea of making them look good because they are so small. My url didn't come out right because I changed the title in the middle and am unsure how to change it but here ya go. http://tamsr.hubpages.com/hub/5-Practic … sign-Ideas
I love it! Missouri is a great place to enjoy the outdoors from the indoors. I'm going to remember this and create a "honey do" list from it if we buy a house on either side of the state line here in KC.
Here is a bit of humor to go with this weeks topic. This is a bit out of the realm of what is normally submitted, so I hope everyone enjoys it. I have been having problems all night editing and proofing it, so I hope there isn't too many issues reading it. http://tlpoague.hubpages.com/_z00n2llk1 … edneck-Way
I’m looking forward to reading these, not sure if I’ll get one done - it could be a worthwhile challenge though! I have written a hub about the WTI, what it is and why to take part, as several people don’t know about it and it took me a while to give it a go. Since it’s not the WTI, I can’t post it here, but Simone I’d be glad if you’d check it over and let me know if you are happy with it, or would like any changes. (I’ll check tomorrow as it’s time for bed in the UK.)
It wouldn't let me add my newest hub to the post, so I am adding it here. I don't know if it will qualify, but either way, I hope everyone gets a laugh. I guess you could say this is part two of my first post here. Let me know what you think...Thanks! http://tlpoague.hubpages.com/_z00n2llk1 … edneck-Way
Thanks Simone, I am still working the kinks out of the first one. I had issues when I was trying to post it. I had a hard time getting things to upload, so I lost a bit of my text. I am working on getting more pictures to add too it. My family has been generous in giving me ideas to create more Redneck hubs. I guess my Big Nam series will have to be put on the back burner for a bit. Did you ever read the ones I submitted to Stan Fletcher's hub challenge?...
I guess I never thought about taking pictures while doing it, just wanted to get the job done. Like to have people use their own mind to picture what it is like, that way it makes them think and focus about what they are doing. Guess that's why I don't have an avatar. Want people to imagine me however they want in their own mind, rather than have a preconceived notion based on an avatar.
There you go...do a before and after picture of organizing your house. I wished I would have done before pictures of when my sisters and I went to clean my dad's place. No one recognized it when we were done. Alas, I wasn't thinking of pictures at the time. Now, I wished I had.
Finally! I managed to get more pictures, even one of the beer can curtain, to revamp my hub. Sorry the first go around wasn't that grand. Hopefully everyone will like this one a bit better. There are even a few more tips for Redneck decorating...I thank my sister for those ideas! (Note: if you see any flaws, let me know. I was still having loading issues.) Thanks everyone! Here it is... http://tlpoague.hubpages.com/_z00n2llk1 … edneck-Way
Thanks! It has been fun writting these. We have had each other in stiches for days now coming up with ideas. Must have been too many years hunting, fishing and camping. This wouldn't have been near as funny without my siblings and mom. Hmm, I forgot to ask my brothers for their redneck tips. Oh well, I'll save that for another hub.
I wrote this from my perspective as the one in the family that does the cleaning and laundry, but not home improvement projects. I would feel comfortable attempting any of these projects and they are all pretty affordable for new homeowners.
Hi didn't realise that we could do more than 1 so here is my second one of the week, as I enjoyed the first one I thought why not have a bash as a second. I didn't enjoy this one so much... I honestly didn't know much about bathroom remodelling, I do now
I grew up in a relatively small house with a small kitchen. I thought making a hub about maximizing space in a small kitchen would be of help to other people in the same situation as I am. I hope you find time to read and enjoy my hub.
I've done 3 bedroom painting hubs previous to this. It was a lot of work but a lot of fun and the kids LOVE their bedrooms now. It's amazing how letting them pick out the colors and designs shows about who they are at this age. Here are the links to my hubs
Hahaa! I never thought we'd get so many great humorous Hub out of this topic. What an awesome surprise! This totally cracked me up. And I actually found the various conspiracies and sources of paranoia to be interesting! Also, as a side note, I really appreciate your killer awesome image attribution. Not everyone has such great attention to detail.
This week’s WTI was quite challenging for me, first thinking of an idea and then getting the photos to work. I must have taken a hundred! So here’s hoping what I’ve eventually come up with will be of use to someone. http://melovy.hubpages.com/hub/Practica … -Bathrooms
Thanks Simone, The lighting of the photos was what caused the challenges - getting clear photos without too many shadows. I’m pleased you think they are great. BTW, did you see I’ve done a hub on the TWI?
