I'm sure there is an explanation for it.  I'm also fairly sure we'll never hear it.  smile

Perhaps we need a new help section addition telling us what anything means anymore.  lol  It is sadly funny--an oxymoron, no doubt-- when there are many folks wondering what is required to achieve the elusive and fleeting HD dollar while someone extremely new here does it with very little effort or indication as to why or how.  yikes

Yeah, I saw that too.  Maybe he is getting a ton of traffic for unknown reasons.. As you say, "nothing special"

I doubt seriously this is the case.  Being a member of staff is the more likely explanation.

I dunno.  I still bet on traffic.  As rebekah noted, he has at least three that are just right for February, are not at all junk, so could have hit a sweet spot.

Yeah sure, the luckiest hubber to have ever joined HP! lol  And if hot traffic was any indication of what was required to achieve a 100 profile score, then I would've never made any of the many dollars posted on my avatar in the past.  So this also does not compute, Tony.  smile

This we can all agree on, I think!  lol  I've been having the most fun here lately since I've quit trying to make sense of the nonsensical.  For over 2 years I had been a writer here without ever realizing HP was a subsidiary of MAD magazine!  lol

For heaven's sake Rebekah, half of this member's hubs are poetry!  If I'm not mistaken, these won't exactly pack the readers in.  lol  Sorry, not buying your suggestion at all, but thanks anyway!  smile

Actually this is a great opportunity to discover what is required for getting a 100 profile.  Unless I'm mistaken-and I'm not elite so this is entirely possible--this member has the least amount of hubs, especially informative ones, to examine for hints as to what factors determine the mysterious HP Dollar.

And so far as I can tell, there's nothing which jumps out at me as being particularly dollarish!  But then, I'm merely a commoner not trained enough to make such an important distinction in word values, as has been so succinctly pointed out by my superiors recently.  yikes

But here is a great chance for someone who does have the capabilities and besides, this member's first 11 hubs could be pointed to as how to achieve a 100 profile when the elite are asked by the newbies.  A win-win situation for both!  roll

High ratio of feedback to hubs plus some up votes we cannot see plus traffic..  ?

      1. Randy Godwin profile image60
Randy Godwinposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Hmmm.  Well since only a couple of the referenced member's hubs made it out of the 70's with some even rated in the 60's, very few comments, almost no tweets, no shares on FB, very few clicks on Useful, funny, interesting, etc. it doesn't appear this is the answer.  My highest trafficked informational hubs may have over a 100 comments and questions on them, so I don't believe these hubs are that hot.  See anything else?

Randy, let me c&p my comment to the most fortunate hubber...

Congratulations on your perfect hubber score after just being on Hubpages 3 weeks.  Amazing!  Well done, Cre8tor!

On the other hand, I hate to whine... really, I hate to whine... but... but I've been here on Hubpages more than a year, and my hubber score is still in the 80's.

If it were traffic, we would see the 1,000 badge at least.

I suspect it has a lot more to do with the high number of questions and answers he has.

  11. Pcunix profile image91
    Pcunixposted 11 years ago

That undeserving hubbers reach this number is undeniable - I have had that dollar several times and each time I look at the others on the list and think that I am definitely not in the company of my peers.

I have little traffic, few followers, seldom answer questions and mostly get into fights on the forums.  The system is flawed. No question about that!

    1. Randy Godwin profile image60

Nope, I see nothing outstanding in the 100 profile list of Hubbers, even when I'm in it!  lol  So you fit in there as well as anyone, Tony!  It is indeed a total joke!  But it does give HP a reason to promote certain people, though! smile

And I'd liked to suggest we  select some HP Gods among ourselves before the title is snapped up to be used as titles for those Hubbers never having written or published anything on the site.  We pre-empt it, so to speak.  Anyone want to be called a god?  Volunteers only and no credentials required, of course!  roll

Oo, oo, I want to be the god of the last nut in the tin, an offering that my family have made for years as a sort of "last fruits" sacrifice to some unknown pagan deity. I would call myself Hapax Legomenon, with the mantra "there can be only one."

LOL. Sadly, I am down to 7 (!) total page views for the last 24 hours, yet I have a 94 score! I guess page views have nothing ot do with it.

    1. Greekgeek profile image80
Greekgeekposted 11 years agoin reply to this

Page views appear to have nothing to do with Hubscore.

I just had a Hub go viral (yay!) and the Hubscore is dropping even as visits, likes, Tweets, comments, etc continue to climb.

But I don't care! I have the last nut in the tin! (and, far more importantly, ad impressions.)

Of course, our profile score is based on many more factors and all our hubs. With or without nuts.
