No kidding! Curiouser and curiouser!
Hmm....amazing! I reckon it is one of those mysteries that will remain forever unsolved!
Another reason to Not be too worried about Scores and accolades!
Perhaps we need a new help section addition telling us what anything means anymore. It is sadly funny--an oxymoron, no doubt-- when there are many folks wondering what is required to achieve the elusive and fleeting HD dollar while someone extremely new here does it with very little effort or indication as to why or how.
Yeah, I saw that too. Maybe he is getting a ton of traffic for unknown reasons.. As you say, "nothing special"
I doubt seriously this is the case. Being a member of staff is the more likely explanation.
I dunno. I still bet on traffic. As rebekah noted, he has at least three that are just right for February, are not at all junk, so could have hit a sweet spot.
Yeah sure, the luckiest hubber to have ever joined HP! And if hot traffic was any indication of what was required to achieve a 100 profile score, then I would've never made any of the many dollars posted on my avatar in the past. So this also does not compute, Tony.
Ok, then it's darts. I always said that was it anyway.
Well, I went and FB''d, tweeted, blue-buttoned, voted up, and commented one of your hubs. Let's see if my 92 changes in the next hour.
This we can all agree on, I think! I've been having the most fun here lately since I've quit trying to make sense of the nonsensical. For over 2 years I had been a writer here without ever realizing HP was a subsidiary of MAD magazine!
The hot hubs on his profile are topics which could bring in traffic at this time of the year. They look well written and informative.
For heaven's sake Rebekah, half of this member's hubs are poetry! If I'm not mistaken, these won't exactly pack the readers in. Sorry, not buying your suggestion at all, but thanks anyway!
I want to be his friend.
Let's see... I'm 92 at the moment. I'm going to go follow him and see what that does.
And yet your purpletude is holding up so well..
I have been onsite working, published one hub, fixing to publish another, commented, hub hopped, been to the forum and questions, voted hubs up, flagged a few and more, yet my number stays the same!
Does this upset me? Make me lose sleep? Pull my hair out....wait, I don't have any hair! But no. I have made no sense of my own score.
Let's face it. Our good deeds and worthiness will remain unrewarded. Tough town, the internet...
Oh, I dunno. I've earned quite a bit of money over the years - I think I probably got more reward than I deserved.
I am still working on "quite a bit of money" but I am sure that will come. However the score, well, hmmm...... who knows. I know! The Shadow knows!
In all seriousness, same here to a lesser degree. But I need more!!! Yes, I do!
Actually this is a great opportunity to discover what is required for getting a 100 profile. Unless I'm mistaken-and I'm not elite so this is entirely possible--this member has the least amount of hubs, especially informative ones, to examine for hints as to what factors determine the mysterious HP Dollar.
And so far as I can tell, there's nothing which jumps out at me as being particularly dollarish! But then, I'm merely a commoner not trained enough to make such an important distinction in word values, as has been so succinctly pointed out by my superiors recently.
But here is a great chance for someone who does have the capabilities and besides, this member's first 11 hubs could be pointed to as how to achieve a 100 profile when the elite are asked by the newbies. A win-win situation for both!
High ratio of feedback to hubs plus some up votes we cannot see plus traffic.. ?
Hmmm. Well since only a couple of the referenced member's hubs made it out of the 70's with some even rated in the 60's, very few comments, almost no tweets, no shares on FB, very few clicks on Useful, funny, interesting, etc. it doesn't appear this is the answer. My highest trafficked informational hubs may have over a 100 comments and questions on them, so I don't believe these hubs are that hot. See anything else?
Come to think of it...
@HP Could we sell our points to each other!?! I'll sell mine at $1 per point per day. Yes I will.
Most of his hubs are in the 60's and 70's. I don't get this at all...
There is so much crazy stuff going on this weekend I'm beginning to wonder if staff are off with no one but the greeters to tote the load in their absence. I've noticed no one with any clout posting on the forums for a while but I may have missed something.
I noticed the same as you. Something is screwy here, mark my words?
Randy, let me c&p my comment to the most fortunate hubber...
Congratulations on your perfect hubber score after just being on Hubpages 3 weeks. Amazing! Well done, Cre8tor!
On the other hand, I hate to whine... really, I hate to whine... but... but I've been here on Hubpages more than a year, and my hubber score is still in the 80's.
I'm getting a complex here. What da?
If bright smiles were any part of the criteria, you'd surely always be 100.
Seriously, I love some of your hubs, particularly that one about your coffee shop friend.
Yes, what gives? Is my taste that far off???
Thanks, Pcunix, and no, your taste is fine. Seriously? You love some of my hubs? Oh I'm so happy to hear that. Thank you Thank you Thank you.
If it were traffic, we would see the 1,000 badge at least.
I suspect it has a lot more to do with the high number of questions and answers he has.
That undeserving hubbers reach this number is undeniable - I have had that dollar several times and each time I look at the others on the list and think that I am definitely not in the company of my peers.
I have little traffic, few followers, seldom answer questions and mostly get into fights on the forums. The system is flawed. No question about that!
Nope, I see nothing outstanding in the 100 profile list of Hubbers, even when I'm in it! So you fit in there as well as anyone, Tony! It is indeed a total joke! But it does give HP a reason to promote certain people, though!
It is purdy... I think I'll bequeath it to Pcunix.
And I'd liked to suggest we select some HP Gods among ourselves before the title is snapped up to be used as titles for those Hubbers never having written or published anything on the site. We pre-empt it, so to speak. Anyone want to be called a god? Volunteers only and no credentials required, of course!
Oo, oo, I want to be the god of the last nut in the tin, an offering that my family have made for years as a sort of "last fruits" sacrifice to some unknown pagan deity. I would call myself Hapax Legomenon, with the mantra "there can be only one."
LOL. Sadly, I am down to 7 (!) total page views for the last 24 hours, yet I have a 94 score! I guess page views have nothing ot do with it.
Page views appear to have nothing to do with Hubscore.
I just had a Hub go viral (yay!) and the Hubscore is dropping even as visits, likes, Tweets, comments, etc continue to climb.
But I don't care! I have the last nut in the tin! (and, far more importantly, ad impressions.)
Of course, our profile score is based on many more factors and all our hubs. With or without nuts.

Just had a big drop on my profile score. And all my hubs were featured along with a steady 10 Editors Choice. I say 'were' because 3 were just unfeatured and I don't know what to do about that. My views are over 945,000. Boo-hoo. Hubpages doesn't love me anymore!

My current score is 87.Watch it happen here. How? I shall minor edit hubs until it happens.Stay tuned.

As some of you may have noticed ads show up on articles, the answer section and the forums. Great, the more ads the more that we can possibly earn. But I am still having a problem with the hubber (profile) score. Since any links that appear on a hub are no follow if the profile score is below 85,...

Will simply Voting on Hubpages make a difference to your Profile score? With all the options to participate on Hubpages and limited time available, what if you read other blogs and VOTE, without necessarily leaving a comment? Will this activity boost your profile rating?

By asking questions does it improve your profile score
