Why is it taking so long for the earning to update?

It has to be the relation of the position of Pluto to Venus during this particular time of 2012. At least that is what the alien told me that speaks from the upper right hand part of my screen here on HP. smile haha!

Trying to interject some humor here. I am still awaiting my "first" payout. I know it takes time for all to catch up and such, but my numbers are rather impressive, to me at least. smile

I'm guessing that everyone would like to know that.  smile

The last word (the last that I have seen) was that there are basically two reasons why this sometimes happens:  some sort of technical problem in HP and some sort of delay from the advertising partners.  I don't recall seeing any indication of which of the two would be more likely to be responsible this time.

    It's hard to wait!

Hahahaha!  Okay, is that what it is?  I thought the Pandas and Penguins were finally coming to take me away these past two days!  Hey, I was enjoying those red Christmas trees popping up on my account last week.  I am sure there will be more popping up as long as I keep feeding my account with "fertilizer."

    Hang in there, Dale!

I'm not sure - technical problems? When did you last get earnings? Hours, days, weeks?

      4 or 5 days ago.

I won't care how late the earnings numbers are if they record-breakingly HIGH! (I'm not expecting them to be, though.)

I'm also wondering what is taking so long for the earnings to post. It could be a glitch in the system. It has been 5 days since they last posted the earnings. May 8 earnings were posted but they say the figures are still pending. I wonder what's happening!!

I agree with Brie Hoffman, this is getting ridiculous!!!

Then why don't you contact Adsense and Ebay and ask them why it's taking so long?

If you average the same amount each day, you generally have an idea of what your HP earnings may be. I see no reason to get upset about it, obviously it's something beyond their control

It's not that I need the pennies to survive, so I'm not going to obsess over anything that I cannot possibly control.

Me either. I make about a buck or a buck-fifty a day, so I am not going to stress over $6 or $7, LOL. There's still that curiosity, though...

Apparently there is also a protracted delay in that simple and highly unnecessary practice of communication! big_smile

A question sign now hangs over something that really worked for the HubPages faithful.  And as usual an avalanche of speculations.  Surely somewhere somehow there must be a rivulet of corporate communication (not the apology on the my account submenu but a real explanation).

If you check, there are at least 8 forum threads and the same number of questions on this subject, which one do they choose to comment on? I saw an answer on one this morning and now this one.

The money will be there...relax...enjoy the beautiful weather...stop checking your earnings 5 times a day smile

We're working on it, folks. There has been a notice on your Earnings Reports page for days, so you know that we're aware of the delay and working on it.

I'm sure most everyone understands this, but: just because there's a reporting delay doesn't mean you are not earning. You just don't know exactly how much you've earned each day, because we don't know yet ourselves.
