Level 2 Commenter Status Question

   I had just been given a Level 2 Commenter Status last night and now it looks like it is gone and I have no icon for my Comment Status?  Why would this happen to me?

      Maybe you changed your settings. Go to the Profile Tab in My Account. At the bottoms see which bubbled is filled. Maybe "no one" is filled which is why you wouldn't see it.

      Eureka! I have been struck! I have lost the same critter! Don't remember if I was a level 6 or 7...I reckon an age thing, lol.

   This is just pure speculation based on my own experiences, but I think HP has tightened up their specifications. My own commenter accolade disappeared again. And I'm pretty sure it's gone forever.

      When you get banned they take several of the accolades away as if to punish you with them being gone.

   So I am not the only one they took it away from too.  Just thought it was odd, because I just got it late last night and now not even 24 hours later and it is gone.  So strange.

      Maybe Hubpages is having some glitches with its accolade system. You may try contacting them through the Help Section of the Forum.
      
      Usually, these Accolades really come and go. But, it's pretty strange that it went away a day after.

   I think its a glitch, because my level 7 status disappears for a day, then magically reappears, so I wouldn't get too worried about it.

   Maybe not commenting overnight was enough to put you back a category?

   It did come back and am at a Level 4 commenter status already, but have noticed once in awhile my accolades do still disappear and then reappear.  So strange and still don't know why this happens and wonder if it is just a glitch or something.

    Maybe the category relates to a certain number of comments over a certain time.  So you could pop just over and then dip just under within a day or so.

       I think you are right. Both length and frequency of comments determines level.

    Maybe they work in a similar way to our hubscore, it shifts and changes according to our rate of activity? Saying that I gained the helpful citizen award the other day and that seems to have disapeared. Perhaps as mentioned before its a glitch?

    glad you posted this, the exact same thing just happened to me. Justgiven level two commentator and now it's gone. Less concerned if it's not just me. thanks XD. Must just be a problem with hubpages I guess.

    When my awesome Level One accolade disappeared, I went and commented on 3 hubs. My Level One accolade came back. I rested on my laurels. The accolade disappeared again a few days later; never to return. Apparently, unless I am constantly making comments, I am doomed. What with me being commenter-challenged, I gave up.

       Oh no, if that is the case I may well drop back into the negative numbers! There are days sometimes that I do not comment due to this thing I refer to as "time", or lack of time. Now I shall toss and turn all night, unable to sleep due to lack of commenting! Negligence on my part no doubt. No telling how Karma will repay me!
