21 December 2012 end of World
Do you beleive that end of the earth on 21 december 2012?
Faisal87, this is a totally trivial date. If anything going to happen on this date it can happen on any day before and after this date. On any given day anything can happen due to the randomness of the occurrences of event in the universe. There is absolutely no way for anyone to predict future events. Nothing is pre-determined or planned in the universe. How can anyone believe an ancient civilization or any civilization for that matter has the capacity to predict future events? The way I understand this is that this date is the last day on the Mayan calendar.
I always say no to this question for a couple reasons.
The first reason is because I have worked on a couple projects and never once could I find that the Mayan calender actually says the world will end. I have a calender in my suitcase that goes all the way up to June 2014. They are essentially the same type of items, right? What if the Mayans just ran out of room on their rock? An actual historian would know that the Mayan believed that the world just goes through cycles. This doesn't necessarily mean that the Earth ends every cycle. If you want some other reasons please check out my blog. I talk about the Bible Code, Planet X (aka Planet Wormwood), and the Mayan Long Count Calender on there.
My main reason for saying that the world will not end on that date is because if I'm wrong than what does it matter, we're all dead. If I'm right, I can brag.
I have been meaning to look this up and write an article about it. A couple of years ago I did a bit of research on the Mayan Culture and their calender that says the world is going to end in late 2012. Yet others have also argued that that's not what they were actually saying at all and that December 2012 is just going to be the beginning of a period of transition for the world and that after that we are going to enter a new era of peace, that would be nice, I would be more for that theory myself I think!
The Mayan culture is certainly a fascinating part of history and of course the theory is that they actually came from another world to begin with as they were very technologically and astrologically advanced It is certainly a fascinating theory to read about. There are also plenty of eerie facts that do put me wondering.
The Mayan's definitely seem to have predicted a lot of stuff that has happened and there is also a strong theory that the infamous crop circles are messages from them? My jury is still out on this but I will hopefully have more to say about it over the coming weeks before I decide so watch my Hubs for more.
Thewritingowl, these crop circles that you are referring to are manmade. This has been demonstrated hundreds of times over the years and I once show it done on either the National Geographic Channel or Discover Channel. It very obviously manmade.
Oh well then, I definitely need to do more reading on this so! Maybe article needs to describe how crop circles are done first. Nice theory though I think. Does anyone know what was the documentary you saw was? Love to see how they did it myslef?
I also watched that documentary on National Geographic.

So I have actually been overly curious about this topic for several years, but as the date draws nearer I'm noticing more coverage and research into the topic. I really hate to think that I only have two more years to prove myself to the world, especially since I only recently decided to begin...
