I think life is a challenge, and it is a test. We have to discover, and build while remaining ethical and moral.

I agree with you that higher truth is revealed as we grow an evolve.

    Hello SharmaRoshan,
Does it matter?  Who are you asking?  "It is what it is."
My dental hygienist said those words to me. I thought, she is right.  Well, there you have what I think of life at the moment.  We change constantly.  The Infinite is the only thing that is changeless. Namaste'

Madam, Life is as it is. But this is the state of realization. If the mind says, life is as it is, that doesn't make any sense. Because then mind has to go through all the hassles of life.

But after the realization, if Buddha tilt his head and look at the sky and uttered those words, " Everything is perfect in the universe." That certainly made a difference.

Any words uttered before realization are not part of the experience, and are uttered out of ignorance. While once you are aware, you have the in-depth knowledge of everything that happens in the existence.

Life existed way before the knowledge of Buddha and its worship. Nothing can exist or will continue unless the supreme Sovereign allows it . For they hold the keys to life and death. Psalms 83:18.

Very True. But this words came from the person who experienced supreme Sovereign for himself, and thats the purpose of all humanity.

To Shama R , New World Translation Heb 12:1 So, then, because we have such a great cloud of witnesses surrounding us, let us also throw off every weight and the sin that easily entangles us, and let us run with endurance the race that is set before us,
Heb 12:2 as we look intently at the Chief Agent and Perfecter of our faith, Jesus. For the joy that was set before him he endured a torture stake, despising shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.
Budda experience was limited. Yet we have a greater witness and witnesses.
We needed a cure for the being born into sin, we all are born sick. We needed a price paid so we could one day be totally free from sickness and death. The price has been paid . That is why sacrefices of animals have been done away with. Jesus paid for us by giving up his fleshly perfect body in our behalf. We belong to the Heavenly Father and Jesus. Simple our tab is paid.
Budda could not cover the whole universe of man's sin before and after his own appearance, or bill to live forever in the future.
With all humbleness there is Good wisdom of words from his source. But we needed more .
All has been covered and done. We have a future or ticket into the New world and and a New Government
But for those that will not accept that arrangement ,the ticket will have no value to them.

I agree with you on Jesus. He paid the price for all the humanity, so that each one can take the lessons from him and awake for one self.

Good to see your faith and love for jesus.

I hope you meditate and follow your breathe, the way jesus has attained enlightenment for himself.

              Regards.

My response again:  “Everything is perfect in the universe” = “It is what it is.”

          Madam,

Everything is perfect on earth, but this perfection is for the creator, and the one who has attained the state of enlightenment for himself.

Others still have to reach to that stage.

Say, If I take my e.g., If I say the world is perfect, because buddha has said so out of his experience and I believe the teachings of Buddha, that doesn't lessen any pain or sufffering of my life.

I have to experience the same perfection for myself. If anything that becomes part of my experience, it holds its worth. Yes we can learn from others experience, but if something we haven't achieved for our self. Each day we can take small steps towards it.

          Regards.

            SharmaRoshan or Sir

You stated, “…believe the teachings of Buddha, that doesn't lessen any pain or suffering of my life.”

            My humble response:
According to Buddhist teachings suffering and pain or two different things.  Pain is inevitable, however, suffering is optional.

            The Noble Eightfold Path
First Noble Truth - Right Understanding
            Pain and Suffering
Pain in life is inevitable but suffering is not. Pain is what the world does to you, suffering is what you do to yourself. Pain is inevitable, suffering is optional.

This is my understanding and experience.  This comes from teachings I have read.

            Regards

Life is a gift from God, he grants us his life force connected and empowered by himself each day we breath. Like a current connected to a socket or outlet.
True many have lost the power in death ,but that is not the end of you. He is able to return what you lost. But at a certain time frame.
Reference Bible Joh 5:28 Do not marvel at this, because the hour is coming in which all those in the memorial tombs will hear his voice
Reference Bible Joh 5:29 and come out, those who did good things to a resurrection of life, those who practiced vile things to a resurrection of judgment.
Notice people have been in tombs all that time .not in heaven, or a hell as some have been misinformed.
New World Translation Lu 20:38 He is a God, not of the dead, but of the living, for they are all living to him.”
We have a wonderful future ahead as this old system world wide will end soon.
Then the real life will begin.
New World Translation 2Pe 3:13 But there are new heavens and a new earth that we are awaiting according to his promise, and in these righteousness is to dwell.
Notice this is a promise !

Life is challenging. We are responsible for making our own happiness, we cannot expect others to.

Life is what you make of it.

In the Catholic church, the meaning of life is to know, love and serve God - I agree it is a test, an opportunity to choose, make choices, with free will

We're not robots, we have choice/free will
Hopefully we don't refuse our Creator-

If so....then....where do we go? We go where he is not
and that place is void of Him and His characteristics.....meaning no light, no goodness, no mercy, ----nothing good --just misery.

    That's all

        Righteous Atheist

You are right when you say “Pretty superfluous statement then.”

I googled the definition superfluous and here is what popped up:
unnecessary, especially through being more than enough.
"the purchaser should avoid asking for superfluous information"

You asked for the superfluous information.

If you read my first statement to the forum director, you saw where the dental hygienist told me, “It is what it is.”  I was talking to her about the news media and the torture of someone they reported on.  I could not understand how one human could torture another human.

No condemnation, no ego, she said, “If they (the torturer) knew better they would not do it.” When she spoke it made sense because every action we take creates karma.

I am not trying to be right here.  Just writing the way I see it.   It is nice to meet you.  Is there a reason for the picture you posted with your profile name?

I wish I could believe in karma, but I don't think life works that way. sad Thankfully, you seem naive when it comes to understanding what us talking monkeys are capable of.

"It is what it is" is the superfluous statement.

Nice to meet you also. And the reason for the picture (and name) is irony. At least I was going for ironic - what do you think? smile

I think the reason you put the picture is to create an inharmony for those who find the picture sacred.  The best to you and yours; any discord is created by the ego so be careful not to identify with it too much with it.  But in the end it is all your choice.  We all have our story, good luck with yours.  After all every one has a right to their beliefs.  Oh yes, on with the show!

Ah - calling me a liar.  Odd how many who claim to identify with karma tend to be right wing Christians underneath it all. Good luck with your ego also. Yes - everyone has a right to believe whatever irrational nonsense they choose - no matter how many Jews end up in a gas chamber or witches get burned. wink
