Are you a Nerd?
On a scale from 1 to 10
I am asking this like a survey question with the measure like:
1: What is a Nerd?
10: I am 30 years old sleep at my Mom´s and have still Batman Bedsheets
I would say I'm a solid 7.5 maybe 8, but my picture alone probably makes me a 10.
Well I'm certainly not a nerd . But I am a Neeeeeeeeeeerrrrrrrrrrddddddddd.
I went through a phase with World of Warcraft, got really really into it. I also used to watch tons of anime, read tons of manga, and play lots of video games. I still rate myself at least a 8.5. Oh and I had an R2-D2 lunch box, Darth Vater bag, and a big yoda hat. So scratch that and make it a 9, no need to be stingy with the nerd points lol.
More then likely, because I known the origin of the word, Nerd. A Dr. Seuss book called "If I Ran the Zoo." It all depends on your qualification of the connotation.
Maybe.... In midlife, and still read college chem books and simplify equations for fun. No work related basis.
I am a nerd. And I am proud of it. I mean, I am not a complete nerd, pasty white skin, sheltered from the outside, and locked inside my basement with technology. I participate in sports and various arts. But at heart I am a nerd. A music nerd. A history nerd. And I love being a nerd.
Sadly, I'm probably the nerdiest person that has answered this question yet, so I'll give myself a 7 I suppose.
I play Dungeons and Dragons more than once a week, and I know how to play just about every tabletop setting you can think of. I know website programming like it is another language I speak. Batman is my favorite person in the DC universe, and DC is way cooler than Marvel. I also like video games, and especially old video games. I have a ps3, an xbox 360, a wii, a super nintendo, a 64... and the SNES is still my favorite. I use big psychology words just to confuse people sometimes.
However, I'm also in shape, do martial arts, go outside, and I'm a mommy. And I can be quite girly at times as well... So... its not that bad... right?
10 + Nerd all the way for me. In my spare time you'll find me hovering over medical books without taking time to go out and socialize.
3 I would say/ I don't live with my momma so ima 3 ,but ima nerd and lovz it !
I like to think so but I'm forced to resist because of work and stuff. I'd say these days I'm a 6 or so. I love video games, comic books, and anime. Speed Racer is the best character of all time. And Marvel is so much better than DC. Although, Batman is borderline idol.
Yeah, and I like it! Being a nerd in this day and age is awesome. All the technology, all the information sources, all the connectivity, the groups, the forums!!!!! *gasps* the internet is nerd heaven
I guess I'm a 6. I use regular bedsheets and have a girlfriend.
Sure I play World of Warcraft...a little...but I'm not a nerd.
...wait... is this real life?
Yeah, I'm about level 7 on your scale
In general aspects, no. To be a nerd usually you have to be an overall genius; However, by the stigma given by my culture-Yes.
I love comicbooks/movies/anime/manga & games-rpg mmorpg tabletop & rp, I like to read to the point that I've researched several topics. I enjoy going to college and I wear glasses even though usually its sunglasses (I misplace them as well).
I am a border line nerd, consider me a nerd with balance... Har har har.... so that would probably be a five but my girlfriend says a 7.

What's the best game of all time? For me, it's personally The Legend of Zelda: A Link To The Past. It's one of the few games I can play even today and not get bored of it.

It was recently reported by various sites that Justin Bieber posted on his instagram account saying he was going to be the new boy wonder in the upcoming superman vs. batman film. However, later reports says that he was just messing with all of us, and that he was really only playing robin in...

Alright there seems to be some confusion over these three terms and most people (especially those that poke fun) tend to interchange them! But there are slight differences in each...of course, that does not mean one can't crossover into another term...(example a nerdy, geek) A nerd is usually...

I remember arcades as the place to hag out with friends. Now, I can't find any in Toronto and wonder why? I've talked to a lot of people recently about video games and everyone misses the arcade experience. I would prefer an arcade over the bar, club or coffee shop. It's maybe the kid in me but a...

Not just Nintendo, but any of those old consoles? I was just wondering if any of you ever pull them out and play them? Or do you use Emulators and roms?

If you're over 40, why do you still play video games?I'm 44 and not ashamed to admit I own an Xbox and still really enjoy it when I get a chance to play. I think I'm of a generation that grew up with video games and I'll play them until the day I die.
