Why do we feel the need to persuade others that whatever we think or believe is right?
Not everyone has this behavior, but many display it to one degree or another. I think the most adamant in this behavior are a) convinced that some evil will happen when others are not convinced OR b) are attempting to irrationally control other people. Just my opinion, from therapy done with clients.
I think it is somewhat natural, but it is important that we keep an open mind to many different things and be a good listener. The ability to comfortably change an opinion based on new knowledge or information is an excellent attribute.
There is no "universe." What there is - is an infinite and yet expanding MULTIVERSE.
So while someone's "reality" may be real enough - there is no objective reality, but multiple ones.
There are, however, universal truths.
It is because we were created by God with unique thoughts and beliefs, though we tend to forget that so are other human beings.

Why are people so convinced and dedicated to deceptions and lies?Is it because they are scared of reality? Is it because their education is based on deceptions and lies? Now that fool changed the date for the end of the world to October and people still believe him.

Can anyone really argue against a faith based belief?A good friend of mine was just trying to dissuade me from my beliefs. And he was quite good and convincing. But alas we agreed that if my beliefs were founded in my faith then arguing was pointless and that it was just the way it is. And likewise...

When someone is passionate about a cause, they try to persuade others to join it. Indeed that's often what demonstrates they are passionate about it. So why shouldn't Christians who are passionate about their cause, try to persuade people to join that cause, just like political parties, charities,...
