This is true, there are many life forms that have yet to be discovered here on Earth.  We haven't even learned everything about our own planet.  Just imagine what the entire universe might be hiding from us.  Thanks for your answer.

Absolutely! The universe is way too big for there not to be other life forms out there. Just imagine how many other planets are out there that are just like earth with our same composition and everything. Its really hard to imagine them without life. smile

You are right, with all of the planets in our universe, there must be more life forms out there.  I wish more people would realize that we could not be alone in the universe.

    Absolutely!

Sadly, they may be too distant for contact.

You are correct, but of course distance is relative to your mode of travel.  Maybe we will have the technology to visit with them one day.  As fast as technology seems to be advancing, it could be sooner than we think.

I remember them breaking this down into a tangible number on Cosmos, but statistics have all but proven that life does exist elsewhere in the universe. Given the number of planets in the 'Goldilocks' zone, it has become unlikely that life DOESN'T exist elsewhere. But, as others have said, it's questionable if we (humans) will ever come in contact with any of them. It's all dependent on our survivability on our own planet and our rate of technological advancement.

Absolutely---life must exist somewhere else in our universe or in another universe.

Here is information on the Drake Equation which estimates the number of intelligent and communicative  civilizations just in our Milky Way Galaxy:

I most definitely do. Our universe is so huge, it would take the utmost in arrogance to believe our planet alone hosts life.

Yes, being a muslim i have firm belief in Islam & Quran.....In Islam, Earth is not a unique planet. Other planets like Earth do exist throughout the universe. Actually the Quran says that other planets also have land animals:

"(Quran 42.29) And from His signs He created the heavens and the Earth; and the land animals that He scattered in BOTH of them (heavens and Earth); And He is capable of gathering them (in one place) if He wishes."

So according to the Quran, the heavens have land animals like our Earth (not just angels). Actually the Quran says that some of those extraterrestrial creatures will invade Earth one day: There is a wormhole right here on Earth that connects Earth with another planet. One day the creatures on that planet will use this wormhole to invade Earth:
