Countless psychological studies have authenticated that there is a close correlation between levels of IQ, educational, & success attainment.  It goes to reason that the higher a person's intelligence quotient, the more likely h/she will attain a high level of success.  The average IQ score is 100 According to Wechsler's classification of IQ: 91-110 is average, 111-119 is in the bright normal range, 120-127 is superior intelligence, 128-over is considered superior intelligence.  Other psychologists such as Terman indicated that average IQ range from 84-113,113-132 is considered to be above average, 132-148 is superior intelligence, 148-164 is very superior intelligence, & 164-over is genius level.  Your thoughts?  How did your IQ influence your educational/success levels?

IQ, IEQ and Intelligence, it would take alot of both to build a genius

In ordinary usage, the term intelligence is appreciably constrained by neither definition nor theory. Quite simply, there is no common agreement regarding what intelligence is or how it works. Accordingly, in the narrow context of psychometrics, the term denotes that which is measured by a narrow range of IQ tests exhibiting certain generic similarities, e.g., low-complexity items of stock varieties to be solved within strict time limits. In effect, psychometric standardization has led to a tautological and probably incorrect equation of IQ and intelligence that overrates the former and underrates the latter.

If a newly designed intelligence test differs from existing IQ tests in a way.

Politicans probablly have the highest IQ. Without the ethical and emotional side of intelligence. The politicans IQ is unbalance and more likely to be unhappy in the long term.

I prefer the Nerd IQ , and their bullies have gotten alot smaller these days.

Some with high IQ (Intelligence Quotient) could have low EIQ (Emotional Intelligence Quotient.)
Which is better or most important in the long run.

    Balance is best.

    e·mo·tion·al quo·tient
    noun
the level of a person's emotional intelligence, often as represented by a score in a standardized test.
"her emotional quotient was below average"

I would say emotional intelligence EQ is more balanced than IQ intelligence also. Of what is more important, I don't know.

... a balance of both, IQ and EIQ, is what I meant. Oftentimes, men are low in EIQ, I have found.  wink Maybe thats why my dad had a crush on Dr. Joyce Brothers. ( - referring to Photo.)

To me, having a high IQ is more important than having EQ.  I really see little significance in EQ.  IQ gets one PLACES...…...especially a high IQ!

... well, don't you think calmness is vital? When achieving success, if you are not able to hold it together emotionally, you are going to develop anxiety, eating disorders, etc.  Your success will be short lived, if you are not emotionally intelligent and you end up addicted to pharmaceuticals or alcohol.  Long term success means you can deal with the stress and emotional upheavals which occur in the work place or at home.

If one is highly intelligent, one is calm.  Being calm & collected are signs of high intelligence.  Intellect determines behavior.

Yes, IQ and EIQ are connected. Why do psychologists (?) separate them, I wonder.

"Studies have shown that people with high EI have greater mental health, job performance, and leadership skills

although no causal relationships have been shown

and such findings are likely to be attributable to general intelligence

            and specific personality traits

rather than emotional intelligence as a construct.

For example, Goleman indicated that EI accounted for 67% of the abilities deemed necessary for superior performance in leaders,

and mattered twice as much as technical expertise or IQ.

Other research finds that the effect of EI on leadership and managerial performance is non-significant

when ability and personality are controlled for,

and that general intelligence correlates very closely with leadership.

Markers of EI and methods of developing it have become more widely coveted in the past decade.

In addition, studies have begun to provide evidence to help characterize the neural mechanisms of emotional intelligence."

Trump claims he is a stable genius. Hitler really did have a genius level IQ. Where did their emotional bad habits take them.

To a dead end job of nightmares.
