Does anyone else notice themselves getting more and more sarcastic? How about less and less...

    people understanding you're being sarcastic?

I felt often that pepople does not understand me when I am being sarcastic.

This leads to big problems, like bad reactions when you are face to face and negative feedback when you are on the Internet.

The same thought crossed my mind recently...I know I am getting more and more sarcastic. I think it is funny, but people that don't know me that well may not catch the sarcasm and take offense. Oh well...

I only get sarcastic when I find that a person is talking on a pretentious subject, but clearly do not understand the content of the subject.  I do have a check and balance on my own sarcasm, and so sometimes I find it wasted on being sarcastic when people do not understand that I am being one...

the more bitter you get, the more sarcastic you become. or you can say bitter experiences lead to sarcasm. i m also getting more sarcastic day by day but the reason for me is that i m not a good forgiver.

Hm interesting, actually I find, the less intelligent I realize people are the more hysterical it becomes to be sarcastic and see how it is received..... bitterness has nothing to do with it.... It's just funny to see how upset people can get, simply because there is no reason for it...

Oh boy, I love this question. I'm a very nice, sincere and honest person, but I'm sarcastic as heck and I love it because most of the time people don't pick up on it. It's the tiniest little comment or something and people just assume I'm being truthful, when in fact  I'm either making fun of them or whatever it is we are talking about. Once in a while I find someone who "gets it" when I say something, and that's just great. But I do enjoy having my own internal inside jokes. Guess it's the actor in me.

How about....... Sorry! Felt some sarcasm coming on! Sarcasm is like a good one liner, you have to let the moment present it's self. Certain people you can cut up with and others not so much. It depends on my mood.

Sarcasm is a form of anger. We may think the sarcasm is funny. But in fact we are unleashing pent-up feelings of anger and trying to disguise that anger in a socially acceptable way. Thus, the bitter humor that comes out. And life is becoming increasingly difficult to bear, it seems. Seldom has this country been torn apart by so many divisive issues. And this recession is endless. So the stress of daily living is making people more and more jaded about the future. The problem is knowing when to use sarcasm appropriately.

    More and more here.
    Jaded, too.

I've been a pharmacist for 35 yrs and I'm sick and tired of doctor's lousy signatures!  It's not that hard to read the Rx cause I'm familiar with the drugs.
If their name isn't printed somewhere  on the Rx, or if they don't circle it, the signatures are impossible!

So I figure if their signature isn't important to them, why should it be to me?

I am less sarcastic than i use to be.  When i was a teenager i thought i knew everything and in my twenties i knew i knew everything so i flaunted my wit.  Now im 34 and i am pretty sure i don't know much of anything so i am a little more humble.

But I am still a smart @$s often enough. wink

t makes no sense to say "I could care less"! That statement means that it is possible for you to care less, meaning that you at least care a little. What you really mean to say is, "I couldn't care less". I'm sure it is crystal clear to you now, but you could care less about what I have to say.

    Good Evening Bonnebartron

Funny you should ask that. As you know, the Internet can bring out both the best and worst in people. Something about the anonymity of cyberspace seems to shatter all impulse control in some people, in certain situations.

I'm responding to your question because I liked an answer you gave on one question. Someone was asking about what kinds of things affect personal hubber score. They were talking about this in relation to page views and so forth. You said that there have been times when you were given a relatively low score and yet have had a hundred page views a day.

Then there were times when you were rated very highly and yet only had a handful of views. You said that you thought everything affected hub score and that's just the mystery of HubPages. I think that is exactly the right attitude.

Here's why I brought all of this up. I notice a certain anxiety of some hubbers about this enterprise - almost as though their life depended on it, I must say. I sometimes feel moved to say a word about this, as I did earlier today. I got two responses - one, to whom the remarks were specifically directed, gave a generic thanks for the advice; the second sharply and sarcastically (here's the point of my response) rebuked me.

Anyway, I guess I'll ease up on pushing my unorthodox point of view in this area, and leave hubber to their dreams.

    Take it easy, bonnebartron.
