What made the late comedian George Carlin so special as a perfomer?
This sounds kinda silly but he was so grumpy and grouchy and cussed so much! As a kid back in to 70s it was always shocking (and funny) to hear him cuss! He was always so exasperated. Yet he seemed wise and really sharp. He was so funny but I don't think I've done a good job of putting my finger on the WHY of it.
I would say his command and knowledge of the english language (if you heard his soliloquies, poems or his rants) and his dry humor. As well add his cussing, carrying on and just making an ass out of himself made the audience always want more from him. Find his "7 words you can't say on television" or "The Hippy Dippy Weatherman" on You TUBE and this will describe him better yet. In his 70's he still had his dry wit that could make you smile a lot R.I.P. George and as Bob Hope would say "Thanks for the memories."
INsight, intelligence, and wisdom, all of which came with age.

Can you answer this classic question? Why do we park our cars in driveways and then drive our cars in parkways? Credit to George Carlin for the question. I don't think I could have come up with this question on my own.
