Do your impressions of celebrities personal lives have an impact on how you judge their acting?
Sometimes you read negative stories about a celebrity and even though you don't want to judge them, you find yourself doing it. Maybe they are doing drugs or cheating on their spouses. Regardless what you've read, do these opinions you have effect the way you perceive their acting abilities? Perhaps you find yourself turned off to their movies or shows?
No. I judge them by their ability to be believable on-screen.
I normally accept them as the character they are playing. However, if it was something really awful like paedophilia, maybe I just wouldn't go to see a movie with them in it.
I try really hard not to let it--it at times is does affect how I feel about their work.
I try to bear in mind that the work of most actors/actresses is not completely reflective of their personality. It's like having a dentist with a terrible personality but one who is damned good at their job. Admittedly, this can be difficult if the actor/actress in question behaves badly off-screen or off-stage, ect. If they are a total jerk in real life, I may not go to their films, but it usually depends on who else is in it and what the film itself is about, too.

There are several articles flying around online claiming Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie have finally split. It was also just reported on my local news station. Has it actually been 100% confirmed? What do you think? Was it bound to happen? Do you even care?
