   I, too, think Vanessa Williams is absolutely gorgeous. So is Angela Basset. Does anyone remember Michael Michelle from ER? I don't know how old she is, but I'm thinking she is probably over 40 now. I always thought she was so pretty. I think Vivica Fox is gorgeous; she is probably over 40 now. Lynn Whitfield is absolutely gorgeous; I'm thinking she is probably in that age group now. Jada Pinkett Smith is also very pretty. Is she over 40 yet? How old is Halle Barry? LOL, I guess I need to study up on these women's ages before I try to answer this question. Maybe it's a good thing I don't know... maybe that means age is becoming less important?

      SmartAndFun, great answer.  You are on target.  All the actresses you mentioned are 40 years of age and over. Of course, Vanessa Williams is gorgeous, that goes without saying.

   Diahann Carol, Bernadette Stanis, Pam Grier, Phylicia Rashad, Lena Horne, Debbie Allen, Madge Sinclair, Cicely Tyson,  Ruby Dee and Whitney Elizabeth Houston . Although some are no longer with us in body they will always be with us.
