Knowing that I made a difference
    in one person's life.
Sin sent a writ to which my living
is left sitting by side of the road.

    Senselessness looking back
is a sign of a dark sky.
    Feeling remorse quiets
    our inner struggle.

    yet never forgives.

    So give my gift
    to someone who deserves it.
They can carry it and smile
    as the torch is passed.

    and the flame fades.

I honestly didn't know that you were so embittered.  Why did you pose the question in the first place?

Yes your words did rhyme.  Good job.
