   What method do you recommend for choosing a baby's name?
   
   Are there any innovative methods now? Has the internet changed the traditional methods?

   Gee, have you walked through any school?  It's obvious that the 'STARS' and musicians still have influence on names.  (Remember when Brittany spears came along?)  There are so many reality shows that who knows how many 'Snookies' are going to show up in 5 years.   Along with that there seems to be a run on how different of an ordinary name can a person come up with.
   
   I prefer the old fashioned: check the baby name books and see what sounds good together with the last name.  I swear, no kidding,some of the names I cannot even pronounce, much less spell.   I'm so glad I'm not a teacher-I'd be slaughtering them on roll call.
   
   I read that the boys name Michael has been the #1 choice for several years in a row.  I can't recall the girls name that was popular.  But, anyone who googles popular names will be able to catch it in a flash.

   Putting names together, my daughters names are nashila (na-shi-la) and shalynn (sha-lynn).

   I'm OCD...lol. All of my children have the first and middle initials of A.T. I chose A names looking through a baby book, but I chose A names because that is what both my brother and dad names start with. The T names came about because of yours truly!
   
   For people less OCD, you can search the internet or baby books for names. I picked names that I liked the meaning of. You can also copy or combine names of close family members or friends.
